The matchups between teams and players are always intriguing this time of year when Mid Season tournaments kick off. Today we are looking at the guys who stepped up for their teams in the opening round matchups during the first day of the  Tonganoxie tournament.

Purcell took over the low scoring game putting up 23 points and grabbing 6 rebounds, completely dominating the ball game. He shot 9 of 14 from the field and got to the foul line 6 times. Interest at the college level continues to grow for Purcell and continuing this output in a tourney like this only helps
