Today we run through the top performers from the Hanson Classic. A starting five, a 6th man, and a whole group of top ten performers.

[player_tooltip player_id="963742" first="Isaac" last="Bruns"] of Dakota Valley (6’3 Guard Soph). Playing in one of the biggest games of the season against one of the state’s elite teams, [player_tooltip player_id="963742" first="Isaac" last="Bruns"] was on fire in the Corn Palace. He knocked out five triples and 13 of 17 shots overall plus made all of his foul shots. Facing a top opponent with all eyes in the state on the game, Isaac scored 35!

[player_tooltip player_id="975508" first="Tyce" last="Ortman"] of Canistota (5’11 Guard Sr). Tyce led his team to an important Class B win over White River. He scored 34 points on 10 of 14 shooting, including five makes at the arc in seven attempts. Made 9 of 13 foul shots too. He’s becoming one of the more feared senior scorers in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="975531" first="Tisyn" last="Spader"] of Howard (6’4 Wing Sr). Spade committed to play for DWU and he celebrated that decision just under a week later with a monster game. Tisyn scored 27 points on 7 of 11 shooting and 10 of 12 foul shooting leading Howard over Aberdeen Christian. Hit three threes grabbed six boards and dished out five assists playing in his future college home facility. A memorable performance as Howard continues to improve their push for Class B gold in March.

[player_tooltip player_id="963754" first="Caleb" last="Hollenbeck"] of St. Thomas More (6’1 Guard Soph). This was a quality “take notice” game for Caleb statewide. He scored 22 points on 7 of 11 shooting including four threes in a big Cavs win over Tea Area. St. Thomas More had to replace a number of guys but the talent coming up is proving to be strong with Caleb being one of the leaders.

[player_tooltip player_id="732179" first="Paul" last="Bruns"] of Dakota Valley (6’4 Guard Sr). It’s not often that Paul – a UND signed guard – may be overlooked by somebody but Isaac’s 35 did just that. That said, Paul was also vital to the win with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Once again his defensive rebounding was crucial to the pace of play.

Next Five

[player_tooltip player_id="975502" first="Gradee" last="Sherman"] of Viborg-Hurley (6’5 PF Sr). Gradee scored 25 points with 15 boards in a losing effort. He scored on 10 of 14 shots for the game and is likely the 6th Man to the weekend group above.

Oliver Vincent of Sioux Valley (6’1 Guard Soph). Oliver led Sioux Valley with 27 points making half of his 18 attempts including five threes.

[player_tooltip player_id="812196" first="Kalen" last="Garry"] of De Smet (6’3 Guard Jr). Garry had 21 points and nine rebounds making 9 of 13 shots, 3 of 6 threes.

Logan Katzer of Canistota (6’2 SF Sr). In support for Ortman, Logan had 15 points and nine boards. He also extended the defense with his three threes.

Hayden Bahmuller of Hanson (6’7 PF Sr). Hayden is a name that’s starting to gain some steam. He had 16 points and a dozen boards dominating the defensive glass. He scored on 7 of 11 shots.
