Juron Adams of Tiospa Zina (6’1 Guard, Jr). Juron is a player that has absolutely revved up the motor and is scoring actively against just about anybody. Had 29 with four threes this weekend to beat Lower Brule but he also had 28 and 12 in a win a week ago plus 28 to beat White River a few weeks ago and a couple other 20 plus scoring games over the holidays.
Daniel Mitchell of Gregory (6’7 Forward, Fr). It’s time to give Daniel his spot here. The Gorillas were beaten soundly by Winner but Mitchell had six threes as a part of his 12 of 22 shooting performance against a top ten team. Mitchell scored 31 in that game and it was only his third best game of the year! Mitchell knocked out 19 of 36 shots against Andes Central including 10 threes. Mitchell will shoot a dozen threes a game but he still makes 42 percent of them! Averaging 29 points and a dozen boards a contest.
Matthew Mors Matthew Mors 6'7" | SF Yankton | 2021 State #82 Nation SD of Yankton (6’7 Forward, Sr). We try and limit the constance of talking about the state’s best player because he’s earned himself a standard that is higher than many others. That said, when you lead your team to a 7th win crushing Lincoln with 29 points, 10 boards, nine assists, and five steals, you’ve earned some space! What an incredible performance statistically being involved on 52 of the 63 points!
Gradee Sherman Gradee Sherman 6'5" | PF Viborg-Hurley | 2021 State SD of Viborg-Hurley (6’5 Forward, Sr). First off, congrats to Gradee on committing to Augustana for football. Mr. Double-Double would make for a nice college hooper but the calling on the football field makes total sense. Sherman also smacked up EPJ over the weekend with 27 points and 11 boards.
Micah Swallow Micah Swallow 6'3" | SG Rapid City Central | 2021 State SD of Rapid City Central (6’3 Guard, Sr). Micah may have earned the weekend MVP award leading Central over Pierre and pushing his team to within a score of Aberdeen Central. He had 22 in a great game vs Central and then went out and had 31 a day later. An explosive scorer that teams often can’t match up with.
