Evaluations
Ametri Moss Ametri Moss 6'0" | PG Clarksville Northwest | 2021 State TN (Northwest ’21) – Ametri “Euro-Master” Moss continues to thrive with the syrupy style few can mimic. Moss played at the head of a 1-3-1 zone for Northwest when they hosted Kenwood. The structure worked well. Moss is really crafty and somewhat disruptive with his long arms and principled defensive stance. Moss’ value though is absolutely largest on the offensive end. Moss can finish in traffic, knock down the open shot. He fends off defenders with his body so effectively. Extremely effective free-throw shooter. Moss’ shooting touch ranks among the best in the state, though he does not shoot three-pointers at the rate of many of the other elite shooters.
Randy Cooper (Northwest ’22) – High-energy player. Cooper makes an impact in both lanes with emotional and physical investment.
Kamari McIntosh (Kenwood ’22) – McIntosh carves through defenses like a Thanksgiving ham. Quick, probing. Clever. Shockingly fast. McIntosh reacts to loose balls like a bee to honey. Younger brother of Bryan College freshman Kevin McIntosh. Absurd shooting range. Regularly knocks ’em down out to 22-feet.
Markkus Farrior (Northwest ’22) – Wildly athletic. Farrior knocks down the occasional three-pointer. Farrior is an emotional, passionate player.
Jaylen Washington Jaylen Washington 5'8" | PG Kenwood | 2021 State TN (Kenwood ’22) – Washington’s handle is top five in Clarksville, without a doubt. He can bounce it behind the back, through the legs, and anything else the moment requires.
Jameel Mann (West Creek ’21) – Scored 14 points in a blowout loss to Rossview. Mann welcomes and often initiates contact both on offense and defense.
Jaheim Berry (Clarksville 2022) – Played bigger than his body.
J.J. Wheat J.J. Wheat 6'0" | PG Clarksville | 2022 State TN (Clarksville ’22) – Wheat dominated without straining himself. Wheat’s physical gifts are significant. That he continues to develop a keener basketball sense is scary. Specifically, Wheat is remarkable transitioning from defense to offense. He glides up the floor and always manages to lead the wings to the bucket. Wheat’s passing tends to be imaginative and effectively risky. You will notice his turnovers are dramatically higher in the halfcourt where defenders are set and more focused on him. When the game becomes a scramble or a track meet, Wheat is unguardable in 10AAA.
Ron Jessamy (Rossview ’23) – Finishing fluidily with the left-hand. Jessamy did not play above the rim against Clarksville. He did rebound his area effectively.
Tim Williams Tim Williams 6'1" | PG Rossview | 2021 State TN (Rossview ’21) – Williams is a volume scorer, with range out to 20’. His sturdy frame helps him in traffic, but honestly Williams does not punish the defense enough via the dribble.
Tyrone Hite (Montgomery Central ’22) – Hite’s speed is his greatest asset. Overall, his team struggles on the glass. Hite is only a modest contributor in those rebounding wars. Hite struggles to finish against taller players. This is an area he needs to improve to be a dynamic high school scorer.
Rossview falls to @CHSWildcatHoops, 78-69.
Outside shots were not falling for Rossview and the hosting Wildcats, at times, dropped all 5 defenders to surround Ronald Jessamy. For RHS the only player who continuously scrapped was @MimmsSpencer. All in all, it was underwhelming.
