Continue ReadingI’m ecstatic about the arrival of CSN. The new program provides a great opportunity for local players to continue their careers while improving their games under the tutelage of experienced college coach Russ Beck. Vegas is the main recruiting pipeline for the school and coach Beck has been aggressively recruiting the market. In this article, we take a look at some of the top Juco players still available to him.
Dominque Clifton Dominque Clifton 6'2" | SG Eldorado | 2021 State NV 6’2 SG Eldorado (#41PHN 2021) (featured image) – Clifton could really benefit from a couple of years at a Juco. The lefty has big-time explosion and scores the ball well in transition. His length and athleticism also make him a tough perimeter defender. He could be in line to follow in the footsteps of players like Pierre Jackson, and Marcus Banks who used the Juco route to springboard their careers.
Desmond Green Desmond Green 6'9" | C Silverado | 2021 State NV 6’9 C Desert Pines (#44PHN 2021) – Green is a project, but he has size. He also is an extremely fluid athlete that can change ends of the floor well. If he gets with the right program and develops an offensive skill-set, the shot blocker and rebounder could be on his way to a nice career in this game.
Xakime Milton Xakime Milton 5'8" | PG Centennial | 2021 State NV 5’8 PG Centennial (#52PHN 2021) – Saw Milton play recently in Utah and I was impressed. The PG is lighting fast and showed the ability to finish well amongst the trees. As his 3 ball improves, he has an opportunity to be a quality tempo changing PG for someone.
Kentrell Wallace Kentrell Wallace 6'1" | SG Las Vegas | 2021 State NV 6’1 PG Las Vegas (#23PHN 2021) – Wallace should definitely be a priority for the CSN staff. He’s a natural scorer that fills it up in transition. He proved to be a durable two-way player his last full season for the Wildcats, averaging 14ppg to go along with nearly 2 steals a game.
Semaj Threats Semaj Threats 5'10" | PG Desert Pines | 2021 State NV 5’9 PG Desert Pines (#24PHN 2021) – Threats is one of the top on-ball defenders in the state. The PG is a dynamo who changes the entire nature of the game with his defensive pressure. He’s one of the best guard rebounders as well. Playing for a talented DP squad for the past few years has allowed Threats to contribute in other ways besides scoring.
Craig Comanche Craig Comanche 6'1" | CG Cheyenne | 2021 State NV 6’1 CG Cheyenne (#33PHN 2021) – Comanche is a solid two-way player. The combo is tough when playing downhill and can straight up lock up on the defensive end. He plays the game with good instincts as well, Comanche has shown the ability in the past to jump passing lanes to get steals that lead to transition buckets.
Victavion Conway – Fox Victavion Conway – Fox 6'6" | C Cheyenne | 2021 State NV 6’6 C Cheyenne (#39PHN 2021) – VCF is a talented all-around athlete. Basketball may not even be his best sport and the 6’6 pogo stick is also one of the top Volleyball players in the state. As it is I can easily imagine how he develops with a couple of years at CSN under his belt. Fox already impacts games with his rebounding, and rim running, as he adds to his offensive repertoire he could become a real sleeper in the next two years.
