Camryn CarterCamrynCarter6'2" | PGOak Hill Academy | 2021StateVA has hit the ground running at Oak Hill. The rangy 17-year-old guard prospect from just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has only been at the school for about 4 months but has acclimated quickly because the team shares a common goal.

"Everybody wants to win," Carter told Prep Hoops. "You gotta play together to win."

A self-proclaimed "competitor", Carter has the tools to make a versatile impact on both ends of the court. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, but boasts a 6-foot-9 wingspan which in conjunction with his explosive two-foot leaping ability makes him an outstanding shot-blocking guard.

"I think my shooting is probably the most underrated part of my game," he told Prep Hoops. "Most teams don’t know who I am so they give me too much space."

Ole Miss appears to be the main school standing out in Carter’s recruitment. He hasn’t visited the campus yet due to the pandemic but keeps in contact with the entire coaching staff, including Head Coach Kermit Davis, almost every day.

"I’m settling down," Carter said of his recruitment.

It’s probably just a matter of time before he makes it official. Carter’s 18th birthday falls on St.
