#231 Ben Bonga Ben Bonga 6'2" | SF Ravenwood | 2021 State TN (Ravenwood)
Really efficient footwork. Crafty. Highly competitive. Bonga plays somewhat like, and this is a reach, Blake Griffin. He pulls his man away from the basket and then puts the dribble on the deck. Now nobody in our state plays with Blake Griffin hops. This comparison is merely with the tactics that both Bonga and Blake use. Ben rebounds pretty well.
As of late December his +/- was by far the best of the Raptors.
#232 Ben Branlund Ben Branlund 6'3" | SF White House Heritage | 2021 State TN (White House Heritage)
Last year Ben Branlund Ben Branlund 6'3" | SF White House Heritage | 2021 State TN was among the best players in his district. This year he is again, but the entire White House-Heritage team is playing wonderful. Ben is joined by Damonte Teasley and a whole cast of seniors in their pursuit of a district title.
Branlund’s strengths are positioning, blocking shots, and touch around the rim. He is very, very thin at 6-foot-8. Consider that he is relatively newly-thin and that his stature is not uncommon. That said, he will almost certainly need a redshirt year to begin college during which he would bulk up somewhat. Branlund’s biggest weakness is a glaring one. He can easily get pushed off his spot and out of the lane by strong defenders.
His height mixed with his skills suggest there is a future of some kind in this game.
#233 Riley Byron Riley Byron 5'10" | PG Nolensville | 2021 State TN (Nolensville)
Can score or dish.
#234 Cooper Pennington Cooper Pennington 6'0" | PG Goodpasture | 2021 State TN (Goodpasture)
Solid shot-maker. Cooper typically finds himself in John Paxson roles playing next to senior star P.J. Smith and sophomore superstud Isaiah West Isaiah West 6'3" | SG Goodpasture | 2023 State #216 Nation TN . Pennington’s ability to hit open shots is key. His ranking is lower than 230 because he is too slight and short to play a college two-guard for most programs. His strengths are efficiency, shooting skill, movement off the ball.
#235 David Ross David Ross 6'1" | SG Lenoir City | 2021 State TN (Lenoir City)
