Cashion surges to #2 in the rankings after knocking off then #1 Dale on the road. It was an impressive win for the Wildcats who have only lost to Hooker. Hooker now seems like the team to beat in this class. They have yet to lose a game and they are 4-0 against ranked teams, including against #2 Cashion. Dale played a good game against Cashion but couldn’t finish the job late. They’ll likely have a chance to play them again in the Cashion tournament. Minco is a team that, at full strength, could go toe to toe with any of these teams. They almost pulled off the upset over Crossings Christian even without their leading scorer. Minco is a team to watch in March. Union has won the games on their schedule, but has yet to face a top ten opponent in any class. Look out for Howe, as they could be a sleeper team in this class. One of their two losses was to a ranked 4A team by 2 points.
CLASS 3A RANKINGS:
- Crossings Christian
- Hugo
- Millwood
- Community Christian
- Christian Heritage
- Adair
- Star Spencer
- Beggs
- North Rock Creek
- Prague
Next teams in: Metro Christian, Tishomingo, Eufaula
Class 3A had their biggest game of the week get cancelled because of COVID protocols. Millwood and Community Christian couldn’t play, which is a bummer because those are two top teams. Community Christian has flown under the radar all year and they have a huge game against Crossings this week. Community Christian plays hard and has a bunch of great rebounders. Crossings Christian avenged their only loss of the season beating CHA in overtime. Hugo is now 12-0 with a truly balanced attack as they have a chance to win a second tournament this weekend. Star Spencer has a below average record, but that is because they are playing a schedule tougher than some 6A schools. They are absolutely competing and it will be super interesting to see them compete against 3A teams after being battle tested all season long.
