In our quest for in-depth rankings coverage, we’ll be breaking down our top positional players. In this article, we take a look at our top players at each position from the c/o 2022.
PG: Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV (featured image)
Ht: 6’1
School: Las Vegas
Offers: Siena
Scouting Report: Jackson may have the best handles on the West Coast. His COD ability is elite and allows him to get to the rim with ease. When getting him, you’re also getting an elite rebounder at his position. Jackson’s length allows him to come down and snag boards at a high rate from the guard position.
CG: Parsa Hadjghasemi
Ht: 6’2
School: Carson City
Offers:
Scouting Report: Although he is one of only two Combos in the class, Hadjighasemi is certainly a prospect. The guard from Reno can serve as a backup ballhandler in a pinch, but where he makes his money is scoring the ball. He averaged nearly 14 per game as a sophomore, adding 70 3’s on the year.
SG: Ryan Abelman Ryan Abelman 6'4" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2022 State NV
Ht: 6’2
School: Bishop Gorman
Offers:
Scouting Report: Ableman was recently named as one of our top 10 shooters on the West Coast. That was not an accident, the Gaels guard is a threat to change the scoreboard in a hurry. He is one of the top 3 point marksmen in the county and has shown the ability to get his shot off against quality opponents. There is always room for more shooting, which is why I expect his services to be in demand as we open up.
SF: Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV
Ht: 6’3
School: Elko
Offers:
Scouting Report: The versatile forward displays an array of moves. Klekas is proficient with either hand down low and makes tough contested jumpers on the perimeter. Schools looking for a winner that understands how to play the game at a high level will love Klekas.
PF: Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV
Ht: 6’7
School: Liberty
Offers: UNLV, Texas A&M, Pepperdine
Scouting Report: Jefferson will probably end up being the #1 overall player in the class and for good reason. The power forward is creeping into more of the skilled category. He already has a terrific back to the basket game, however, his ability to stretch the floor and handle, have made him into an even more coveted prospect.
C: Brandon Enriquez Brandon Enriquez 6'6" | C Shadow Ridge | 2022 State NV
Ht: 6’6
School: Shadow Ridge
Offers:
Scouting Report: Enriquez is a solid low post presence. He is transferring to Shadow from Rancho, where he led the team in blocks his sophomore year averaging nearly 2 per game. Size, rebounding and rim protection are also serious strengths of his.
