We are bringing back our Player of the Week polls for this season. Here’s a look at this week’s nominees. Polls close at noon eastern time on Friday!

Josh McGuireJoshMcGuire6'6" | PFKnott County Central | 2021StateKY, Knott County Central – The Senior had a big week. 20 points, 20 rebounds and 6 blocks against Hazard, 11 points and 12 rebounds against Wolfe County, 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks against Leslie County and 16 points and 10 rebounds against Breathitt. All wins for Knott.

Jax Allen, Metcalfe County – The Junior forward helped his team to a 2-1 record on the week. Against Green County he had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Against Russellville he had 20 points and 6 rebounds and against Grayson County he finished the week with 8 points and 11 rebounds.

Brady BellBradyBell6'6" | SFRussell | 2022StateKY, Russell – The Junior helped Russell to a 2-1 start on the week, averaging 18.7 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Tyler Cole, Harlan County – The guard led the Black Bears to wins over Martin County, Barren County and Letcher County while averaging 24 points and 6.3 rebounds for the week.

Trent DeVries, Madison Southern – Through 3 games this week, the Senior averaged 20 points per game on 53% shooting including 45% from three and 84% from the free throw line.

Austin SperryAustinSperry6'3" | SFBreathitt County | 2024KY, Breathitt County – The Wildcats started the season 3-0 and the freshman had a strong week. Against Lee County, he had 22 points and a rebound. Against June Buchanan, he scored 22 and grabbed 5 rebounds. Against Cordia, he scored 17 and pulled down 5 more rebounds.

Trevor HardinTrevorHardin6'6" | PFHenry County | 2021StateKY, Henry County – The Senior forward had 18 points and 15 rebounds in a win against Anderson County then had 30 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Western Hills.

Jerone MortonJeroneMorton6'3" | CGGeorge Rogers Clark | 2022StateKY, George Rogers Clark – The Cards went 3-0 behind Morton’s big week. Jerone had 23 points and 6 rebounds against Paris, 25 points and 10 rebounds against Harrison County and finished with 39 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists against Montgomery County.

Reed SheppardReedSheppard6'3" | CGNorth Laurel | 2023StateKY, North Laurel – The Sophomore guard had 37 points and 12 rebounds in a season opening win over Pikeville then 48 on Saturday in a big win over Covington Holy Cross.

Turner ButtryTurnerButtry5'11" | PGBowling Green | 2022StateKY, Bowling Green – The EKU commit had 16 points and 2 rebounds against Barren County, 19 points and 2 rebounds against Greenwood and 12 points and 3 rebounds against McCracken County. All wins for the Purples. He shot 50% overall and 50% from 3 while shooting 95% from the FT line.

Bryson Perry, Model – The Senior had 30 points and a rebound in a win against Wellspring Guardians, 16 points and 3 rebounds in a loss against Whitley County and 8 points and 3 rebounds in a loss against Boone County. 

Jacob MeyerJacobMeyer6'1" | CGHoly Cross (Covington) | 2023StateKY, Covington Holy Cross – The Sophomore had 12 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to Conner, 40 points in a win over Christian Academy of Louisville and 23 points in a loss to North Laurel.

Zack Otis, Bath County – The Sophomore guard had 33 points in a loss to Bluegrass United Home School, 25 points in a loss to Betsy Layne and 34 in a win over Pendleton County.

Riley Brown, Thomas Nelson – The Freshman had 6 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to Beth Haven, 7 points and 5 rebounds in a loss to Marshall County and 28 points and 6 rebounds in a win over Highlands Latin.

Zach Semones, Western Hills – The Senior had 33 points Friday night.
