In Lancaster’s only at the showcase, Taylor finished with 30 points and helped keep Lancaster on Legacy’s heels for the majority of the game. He shot well from three, found his teammates and got steals in the passing lanes just as he always does. Taylor is also a crafty finisher and extremely quick. He is everything that you need in a point guard.
Johnathan Massie – Legacy School of Sport Sciences – G
Massie scored 28 points in Legacy’s win over Lancaster and was dialed in from downtown in the win. He is a good finisher around the basket and has the ability to finish above the rim. Massie is also a good on-ball defender and has active hands.
Jason Thirdkill Jr. Jason Thirdkill Jr. 6'8" | SF iSchool of Lewisville | 2022 State #168 Nation TX – TACA and CREATE Academy – G/F
If playing in back to back games and running with two teams doesn’t tell you enough about Thirdkill Jr., then I don’t know what will. A quote that I heard from Thirdkill Jr. when asked about why he is running with two squads was just simply “I love to hoop.” Thirdkill Jr. played best in the games that he played for CREATE as got to play his true position and got plenty of touches. In CREATE’s win over Level Up Academy, Thirdkill Jr. finished with 28 points and 14 rebounds and was a big reason that CREATE was able to win this game. His game is similar to that of Kevin Durant and this kid has as high of a ceiling as anyone in DFW.
Cameron Corhen Cameron Corhen 6'9" | C Sunrise Christian | 2022 #106 Nation KS – John Paul II – F
Cameron Corhen Cameron Corhen 6'9" | C Sunrise Christian | 2022 #106 Nation KS has been the third-best player for John Paul II all year and his performance in John Paul II’s win over TWCA should explain exactly how he helps his team. In this game, Corhen finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and one block. He is an excellent finisher in the paint and finishes above the rim often. Corhen is also the best rebounder on the team and doesn’t give up too many second-chance opportunities to his opponents. He is extremely valuable to this team.
Robert Jennings Robert Jennings 6'8" | PF TACA Storm | 2022 State TX – TACA – F
Robert Jennings Robert Jennings 6'8" | PF TACA Storm | 2022 State TX is an absolute freak of nature and throws down highlight-reel dunks every single time that I watch him. In TACA’s narrow win over TCCH, Jennings finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 8-9 from the free-throw line. His size and athleticism makes him a problem for opposing teams in transition as he has the speed to get ahead of the defense and the athleticism to dunk over anyone. He also is a solid shooter from mid-range and plays his role well.
