Benigni played the best of anyone at the showcase even with his team’s packed schedule as they played four games in two days. He has the ability to knock down shots from NBA-range and get to the basket with ease while also getting his teammates involved and hitting them in their spots. He is also a great defender that never stops competing.
Austin Nunez Austin Nunez 6'2" | PG San Antonio Wagner | 2022 State #97 Nation TX – TACA – G
Austin Nunez Austin Nunez 6'2" | PG San Antonio Wagner | 2022 State #97 Nation TX displayed some of the best guard play at the showcase and scored 27 and 22 points in TACA’s two games at the showcase. Nunez’s overall performance at the showcase can be wrapped up with one shot; the shot that he hit at the buzzer to give TACA the win over TWCA. It was a deep pull-up three from the left-wing that he hit with the defense right in his face. He also is a good slasher that can score in a variety of ways. This kid is an absolute bucket-getter.
TJ Burch TJ Burch 6'1" | PG Texas Alliance Of Christian Athletes (TACA) | 2024 State TX – TCCH – G
In the opening game of the showcase, Burch Jr. scored 39 points and the entire gym realized the fact that they were watching one of the better scorers in DFW go to work down the stretch against TACA. He has excellent quickness and he has the ability to blow by defenders and finish on either side of the rim. Burch is a crafty finisher that can flat-out score every time down the court.
Harrison Ingram Harrison Ingram 6'7" | SF St. Mark's | 2021 State #15 Nation TX – Southern Assault Prep – F
Since Saint Mark’s has hardly been able to play this season due to COVID-19, Harrison Ingram Harrison Ingram 6'7" | SF St. Mark's | 2021 State #15 Nation TX and his Saint Mark’s squad ran as Southern Assault Prep for the OTR Holiday Showdown and played in the final game of the showcase on day one. In this game, Ingram put on one of the most dominant performances of the showcase. Ingram scored 28 points and pulled seven rebounds. He was getting to the basket whenever he wanted while also hitting tough three’s off the dribble as well as off the catch.
Shakiru Odunewu – TACA – F
Odunewu’s performance in the opening game of the showcase was the most dominant performance of the weekend by a big man. In this game, Odunewu scored 25 points and was grabbing every rebound that came off of the rim. He showcased his tenacity and relentlessness over the course of this showcase as he never gave up on a play. He also has the ability to finish above the rim and finish second chance opportunities. No one could guard Odunewu down low.
