Julius Owens – Eastside, 6’6″, 2022
Owens is a pure athlete with a strong tendency to finish. Julius can jump with anyone in the state, and is a devoted athlete who uses that elite bounce in every aspect of his game. He protects the rim fervently and doesn’t let anything easy around him. On offense, he can finish put back dunks and body big players with his strength. There’s some work to be done on his decision making and general IQ, but Owens has the physical talents to be an incredibly high level player in his senior year. With some development in those areas, Owens could be a sight to see in Gainesville next year.
Tristan Unold – Vanguard, 6’7″, 2022
Unold is a raw talent that, with the right adjustments, can be lethal for the Knights. The big man posted 8 big points in the Knights win over West Port. His reliable mid-range jumper and free throw shooting gives the Knights the important ability to spread the floor. However, his fluidity in the paint needs some work, and he is a bit skinny to compete against elite-level bigs. Nevertheless, this junior is a high academic who can put on a show in the classroom just as well as on the court. He’s a force to be reckoned with when playing reliable minutes in a good system, so if the Knights can get on track, expect him to be a part of the reason why.
Joe Poyser Joe Poyser 6'4" | PF Wildwood | 2021 State FL – Wildwood, 6’5″, 2021
Poyser may seem a bit undersized, however, he’s a reliable big man on a solid high school team. The senior is a great jumper who can finish with efficiency, and his athleticism makes him reliable on defense as well. He can block shots, contest jumpers, and rebound at a high level. If the Wildcats can make it far this year, Poyser will be a big reason why. He’s a great 4th addition to an already high level team of Nate Rembert Nate Rembert 5'8" | PG Eustis | 2021 State FL , Nate Mikell Nate Mikell 6'4" | CG Wildwood | 2021 State FL and Alfred Corbin Alfred Corbin 6'4" | CG Wildwood | 2021 State FL .
