Chris Daniels Chris Daniels 6'1" | PG Millbrook | 2021 State NC | 6’1 Guard | Millbrook
Daniels has fit in nicely in the starting rotation for the Millbrook Wildcats. He’s a crafty guard that makes play on both ends with his length and ability to make plays. He’s putting up 14.4 ppg, 4.1 apg, 3.3 rpg and 3.0 spg as the Wildcats are off to a 7-0 start to the 2020-21 season. He’s showed his development as a strong defender and playmaker out of the backcourt with Eric Van Der Heijden Eric Van Der Heijden 6'9" | SF Millbrook | 2021 State #235 Nation NC on the hardwood. He’s a prospect for colleges to get eyes on.
Daniel Cooper Daniel Cooper 6'4" | SF Grimsley | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Forward | Grimsley
Cooper leads the way for a talented Grimsley bunch. He’s nearly averaging a double-double at 18.0 ppg, 8.8 rpg and 2.0 apg through their first four contest as they’re 4-0 on the season. He’s posted two straight double-doubles following wins over Ragsdale and High Point Central. He put up 24 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-12 shooting this past Friday in a 67-44 win over High Point Central. He’s a strong frontcourt presence on both ends that plays strong in the paint.
Charlie Miller Charlie Miller 6'0" | SG Lumberton | 2021 State NC | 6’0 Shooting Guard | Lumberton
Miller has largely picked up where he left off over the spring/summer with Flight 22 . He’s putting up 17.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 6.0 apg and 3.0 spg as the Pirates are off to a 2-0 start. He’s knocked down five 3-pointers so far including four against Fairmont in a 22-point outing in an 81-43 victory this past Wednesday. He’s a sharpshooting guard that also isn’t afraid to make plays for others and rebound the ball. He’s a scrappy backcourt presence worth noting.
Sheick Samoura | 6’5 Guard/Wing | Fuquay-Varina
Samoura has been a solid addition to the Fuquay-Varina rotation in 2020-21 as they’re 6-1 on the season so far. He’s a wiry, versatile prospect that can operate on the perimeter and off the bounce with nice length and athleticism. He’s producing 17.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.4 bpg and 1.3 apg while showing off his ability to be a presence on both ends. He’s also shooting 50 percent from behind the arc since decommitting from Air Force Academy. He’s an unsigned wing prospect worth taking note of.
Calik Thomas Calik Thomas 6'3" | CG TMS Academy | 2022 State NC | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Rocky River
Thomas is another tweener guard/wing prospect with a ton of promise in the 2021 class. Rocky River is 2-0 as he’s posting 16.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.5 spg while showing his 3-point stroke is coming along. He knocked down 3-of-5 3-pointers in their recent win over Hickory Ridge 79-64 while knocking down 19 points and also recording six rebounds, four assists and three steals. He’s a prospect with nice instincts and skill on both ends worth looking at.
Ryan Maslow Ryan Maslow 6'5" | SF Fuquay Varina | 2021 State NC | 6’7 Forward | Fuquay-Varina
Maslow is another prospect in the Fuquay-Varina rotation that’s excelling alongside Sheick Samoura in the frontcourt. He’s a prospect that can play either forward spot given his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and get to the rim. He’s averaging 15.4 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.6 spg through their first seven games of the 2020-21 season while shooting 64 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from behind the arc. He’s beginning to draw some interest from college programs.
Caden Davis Caden Davis 6'3" | CG RJ Reynolds | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Guard/Wing | RJ Reynolds
Davis is finding his groove for RJ Reynolds as they’re off to a 6-1 start. He’s putting up 15.8 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 1.3 apg and 1.0 bpg in the rotation while pacing the offensive attack with his ability to get to the paint and operate in traffic. He’s shooting 59 percent from the floor while showing off his patience operating off the dribble. He’s a strong prospect that likes to play a physical style of basketball and gets after it on both ends.
Evan Abolins Evan Abolins 6'1" | SG Sanderson | 2021 State NC | 6’1 Shooting Guard | Sanderson
Abolins has emerged as a sharpshooter in the Raleigh area in 2020-21 at Sanderson High School. He’s already got two 30+ point games under his belt while knocking down a total of 12 3-pointers across both games. He put up a season-high 35 points over Enloe on Monday night while shooting 6-of-10 from 3-point range. He’s an emerging three-level shooter that’s starting to develop as a threat on the offensive end. He’s producing 25.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.3 spg to lead the way for the Spartans in 2020-21. He’s shooting 48 percent from behind the arc and 51 percent from the floor for colleges in need of an efficient scoring threat.
Tharius Suggs Tharius Suggs 6'3" | CG Middle Creek | 2021 State NC | 6’2 Guard | Middle Creek
Suggs has really come on strong as the Mustangs have won four games in a row after an 0-3 start. He’s put up a season-high 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting against South Garner in an 80-78 victory already. On Tuesday night, he posted 27 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists in a 70-64 victory over Garner Magnet. He’s a lead by example type of guard that’s done just that in 2020-21, producing 23.6 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 4.6 apg and 4.1 spg while shooting 50 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the arc through their first seven contests. He’s a budding unsigned senior to note.
Knoah Carver Knoah Carver 6'2" | SF Charlotte Country Day | 2021 State NC | 6’1 Shooting Guard | Ardrey Kell
Carver has shown his development at Ardrey Kell with a breakout season on the horizon, posting 14.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 2.7 apg through the first three games of his senior year. He came up big in their last game on Jan. 13 in an 82-70 victory over West Mecklenburg with 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists. He’s a guard that can operate on all three levels and won’t hesitate to battle on the boards and get points. He’s an emerging name to watch in the class.
Donavon Martin Donavon Martin 6'3" | SF Rolesville | 2021 State NC | 6’3 Wing/Forward | Rolesville
Martin has emerged as a leader in the Rolesville Rams rotation as they’re off to a 4-2 start. He’s averaging 16.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.5 spg in their rotation, showing his ability to attack the basket and finish in traffic. He’s shooting 52 percent from the field while showing his burst off the bounce and ability to get rebounds and create on the break. Look for him to make some noise at the 4A stage.
Julius Peacock Julius Peacock 6'7" | PF Heritage | 2021 State NC | 6’8 Forward/Center | Heritage
Peacock is an emerging big man prospect that’s starting to find his way in the Heritage rotation. He’s put up 7.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 3.3 bpg through their first three games of the 2020-21 season. When he’s locked in and focus, he’s a prospect in the frontcourt that turns heads with his ability to protect the rim and finish with authority.
