Let's take a look at players who are already good but are ready to elevate their games even more. Jo Jo Wright. 5”9. 2023. Uniondale HS Could be the best player in Nassau County. An all New York state player as a freshman. Would not be surprised to see him as Player of the year in New York state by the time he graduates. Gets it done on the court and in the classroom. Court awareness, vision, and Basketball IQ way beyond his age. Sees things coaches see. The total package. Scores the ball off the bounce. Creates for others. Has good range. Defenders have a hard time staying in front of him. Gets into the lane or can shoot the three. Josh Minton 6”1. 2021. Baldwin HS High basketball IQ. Really good range. Excellent shooter. Can get Into the lane and score. Crafty with the ball in his hands. Due to graduations last year Josh will have more of a leadership and scoring role and should excel with his skillset. Chris Naronis. 5”10. 2022. Floral Park HS A tremendous athlete. 3 sport varsity player. High energy player. A streaky shooter who is lights out when he is on. Can take over a game with his shooting. All conference player. Gerard Beaubrun. 6”3. 2022. Baldwin HS Very athletic. Runs the floor with a purpose. Can score around the rim and also on the drive. Tough rebounder. Is ready to take his game to the next level, after playing behind some talented seniors last year. Jaquel Morris. 6”6. 2022. Floral Park HS Plays inside for his high school team. But as his game matures he could possibly be a wing player. Could guard multiple positions. Averaged 3 blocks a game. Plays with his back to the basket but can take it to the basket. Liam Conor. 6”3. 2023. Manhasset HS Plays with passion. Coach could see Liam growing to around 6”5. Elite skill set. Really good athlete. Can score the ball at all three levels. Rebounds well. A very exciting player to watch in the next couple of seasons.
