Cole Grisemer 6’6″ Hillcrest: A very skilled wing young wing player who made quite an impression when I watched him play at the Neosho Holiday Classic. His passing and court vision jump off the screen delivered some beautiful dimes to open teammates from anywhere on the court. He can knock down perimeter jumpers and get to the basket with an effective floater in the lane. His feel for the game is very good and he is quite confident with the ball in his hands.
Cole Nichols 6’2″ Dexter: The young shooting guard helped play a big role in the Bearcats streaking to the championship of the Bloomfield Tournament. He is an excellent 3-point shooter on a team stacked with perimeter shooters. He played quite a bit as a freshman last year and the experience is paying off as he plays with added confidence as a ball handler and passer.
JD Tate 6’7″ Spokane: The young post player looks like a miniature version of former Oklahoma State center Bryant “Big Country” Reeves out there. He’s big and strong and he knows how to use his big body down in the low post. He has nice hands and soft touch around the basket. He uses his size well on the defensive end as he does a good job of walling off offensive players instead of trying to chase blocks.
Keyon Spiller 6’5″ Center: A young combo forward who plays alongside big brother KJ Spiller, who is one of the best players in the KC area. Keyon does a nice job of playing off his big brother as he moves well without the ball and is on the receiving end of many of his dimes for buckets. The athletic lefty is very active around the basket and he has a solid skill set with good handles and a jumper.
Noah Holland 6’2″ Hillsboro: The young shooting guard has been a building block in a transition season for the Hawks. He hsa emerged as their primary scorer, averaging 16 points a game, which includes big efforts of 38, 25 and 24 points during the first month of the season. He’s had some big shooting nights from 3-point range, but he’s also able to attack the basket and get himself to the free throw line.
