Owen Graham 6’9 North Andrew: I got my first look at him at the LeBlond Tournament and was impressed with his overall skill set. He has a nice shot from 3-point range and a good touch around the basket. He’s very mobile and he’s also an excellent passer and a willing screener. He plays very well within a team concept.
Brycen Larue 6’2″ Lee’s Summit: A valuable guard does a number of things to help his team win basketball games. He is smart player who stays active and keeps himself in position to make plays at all times. He will make an open 3-pointer, make a nice cut to get a layup or slash in for an offensive rebound. He plays solid defense and will get to loose balls for extra possessions. Just a lot of productivity without noticing until you look at the final stat sheet.
Gavin Jansen, Kelly: The lefty sharpshooter put in some work at the SE Missourian Christmas Tournament in leading the Hawks to a surprise berth in the semifinals. He scored 20 points in an upset of No. 3 seed Jackson in the quarterfinals, then scored 35 points in the third-place game against Charleston. When he gets the time and space, he is going to knock down shots from long distance.
Scottie Osborne 6’0 Willow Springs: He is a post player and he’s only 6’0” but he gets it done inside with great productivity. He’s physically strong enough to establish his position and he has good footwork and the ability to use head and shoulder fakes to keep defenders off balance.
J.J. Adams 5’9 St. Michael de Archangel: A small combo guard who excels in and off the ball with his ability to shoot the ball from Downtown. He scored 19 points and made five 3-pointers in the Guardians victory over Smithville in the championship game of the LeBlond Tournament. He plays with a lot of confidence.
