Griffjn St. Pierre 6’1 Troy: The standout shooting guard is a talented golfer who will play that sport at McKendree University next year. Until then, he has been tough on the basketball court in averaging 20 points a game. He is an excellent 3-point shooter who is shooting 46 percent from long distance. He has really been on fire in all of his shooting exploits as he also shoots 56 percent from the field and nearly 90 percent from the free throw line. He plays with very good efficiency and doesn’t force a lot of bad shots.
Orie Owen 6’6 Doniphan: I had my first opportunity to really watch this long, lefty post player at the Bloomfield Tournament and was impressed with his offensive skills. He catches the ball well and has a soft shooting touch around the basket, especially when he shoots his turnaround jumper. He does an excellent job of finding the backboard on his shots. He has good mobility and he also has a positive presence on the defensive end, whether he’s blocking a shot or taking a charge.
Luke Laudel 6’0 Eureka: A very solid guard who does an excellent job shooting the ball on a well-balanced Eureka team that is currently 8-1. He averages a team-high 13 points while shooting the 3-ball at a better than 50 percent clip. He can shoot it off the catch and he can create on himself off a couple of dribbles. He is a solid ball handler who will also get into the lane and make good decisions.
Lane Dunlap Lane Dunlap 5'10" | CG Golden City | 2021 State MO 5’11 Golden City: A talented scoring guard who has been producing some big numbers this season. He attacks the basket relentlessly and loves to play through the contact. He’s strong enough to take the hits and produce buckets and three-point plays. He just keeps coming. He just scored 41 points in a victory over host Weaubleau in the semifinals of the Weaubleau Tournament. He has done very well in assuming the go-to guy role after the graduation of 2,000-point scorer Arlo Stump Arlo Stump 5'11" | SG Golden City | 2020 State MO from last year’s Class 1 Final Four team.
Jeremy Moore 6’6 Lee’s Summit North: I saw him for the first time during the summer with 810 Varsity and was impressed with what I watched back then. Was able to get a second look at him during last week’s William Jewell Classic and the lefty was very good as he could score in the post with strength and step out and knock down an occasional 3-pointer. He had 24 points and nine rebounds in a first-round game against North Kansas City. He had another 19-point performance against Lee’s Summit in the fifth place game. He is strong, mobile and he plays with a high motor.
