Each of these guys are intriguing basketball prospects who bring a lot to the table. Being able to get involved and dominate in multiple areas of a ball game usually leads to not only individual, but team success as well. Lets take a look at a group of guys who have found that success at this point in the season.
Taylor Cable Taylor Cable 6'1" | SF Ness City | 2022 State KS . 6’2 Forward, 2022, Ness City: In 12 games played so far this year, Cable has racked up 10 double doubles and is currently averaging 19.3 points per game and 13.9 rebounds per game. Also a terrific football player, the Ness City forward is very physical and imposes his will inside the paint. He has solid touch in and around the rim and works his tail off on the glass. He is currently shooting 60% from the field, so he his getting the job done effectively on the offensive end and is dominating the glass on both sides of the floor.
Noah Hastert Noah Hastert 6'6" | C Cair Paravel | 2022 State KS , 6’7 Center, 2022, Cair Paravel: In 11 games this season, Hasert has posted 5 double doubles and is currently averaging 15.4 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. Hasert also posses the ability to be a great rim protector on the defensive side and he gets his hands on a lot of balls. On offense, he is a very unique center, with a great passing ability and is quick getting up and down the floor in transition.
Nick Hogan Nick Hogan 6'5" | SF Eisenhower | 2021 State KS , 6’5 Wing/Forward, 2021, Eisenhower: Hogan has tremendous strength and a great frame to play in a variety of ways and stretches the floor with his ability as well. He has a total of 9 double doubles in 11 games and is currently averaging an eye popping 18.9 points per game and 14.6 rebounds per game. Hogan has a great feel for the game and high basketball IQ, a willing screener, and plays well off the ball. Although the team success is not quite there yet, Hogan’s play keeps them in a lot of ball games against high quality opponents.
Mischa Mikhailov, 6’9 Forward/Center, 2021, Sunrise Christian Academy Silver: The big 6’9 center has started to come into his own this season playing with the Silver group over at Sunrise Christian Academy . He is extremely long and does a good job of filling up area while on the floor and putting his mark on ball games. The big fella has 4 double doubles in just 5 games and is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds per game. He is very efficient scoring the ball in the paint going 6 of 8 in his last game in a win over Nickerson. If he can get a better feel for passing out of the pots and keeping the ball away from help and cut his turnovers down, you are looking at a big time sleeper prospect.
Tanner Hecht Tanner Hecht 6'5" | CG Wamego | 2021 State KS , 6’5 Guard, 2021, Wamego: Hecht has been impacting the games on the offensive side of the floor in a variety of ways this season and it has helped lead his Wamego squad to a pretty successful season thus far. He currently has logged 4 double doubles in 10 games and is averaging 21.1 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game, and has sprinkled in stats all across the board. His shooting ability, length to rebound the ball, and his ability to put teammates in good spots to succeed, will continue to put Hecht and his team in opportunities to notch accomplishments throughout the season.
Alex Littlejohn Alex Littlejohn 6'5" | CG Bishop Carrol | 2021 State KS , 6’5 Wing, 2021, Bishop Carroll (Pictured): The Kansas Wesleyan commit is putting together a really solid season that has to be making the Coyotes extremely happy he is coming to play for them. He brings a little bit of everything to the table that you would want in a college wing player or even a stretch 4. Currently he has posted 4 double doubles in 10 games and is averaging 16.3 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, and 4.7 assists per game. Littlejohn brings ya everything every night, and just impacts the game in so many ways.
Gabe Phillips Gabe Phillips 6'2" | SG Valley Center | 2021 State KS , 6’3 Guard, 2021, Valley Center: One of my favorite guard prospects in 2021, Phillips first came on to the scene to me presented as a prototypical scorer, but through watching games from this season and his stat lines, he brings a lot to the table. Although he is a great scorer and plays with tremendous confidence scoring the ball, he is a solid playmaker for others and gets up and rebounds the ball well both offensively and defensively. On a team with plenty of talent, Phillips has 3 double doubles in 13 games and is averaging 15.4 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and over a steal per game.
