Some of the top small school teams in the state play in the Lyon County League. They featured some standout performers before the break:

Jordan Barnard, senior, Olpe:

The loaded Eagles, fresh off a state runner-up finish in football, are off and running at 3-0. They are deep and balanced. So far, Barnard, a 1A honorable mention pick a year ago, is leading the team in scoring with 14 points per game. The 6-foot-1 senior averaged 12 points a year ago.

Chase HarrisChaseHarris6'2" | CGWichita Heights | 2022StateKSon, senior, Madison:

Harrison earned third-team all-state in 1A a year ago, and he’s back at it for the #3 ranked Madison Bulldogs. He’s been in double figures his last three contests, including 26 in a runaway over Marmaton Valley. The has already hit 10 3-pointers after four games.

Devan McEwenDevanMcEwen6'2" | SGLebo | 2021StateKS, senior, Lebo:

The second-team 1A performer as a junior has already had several 20-plus point games this year for #5 Lebo. He went for 35 against Hartford (including five 3-pointers) and 26 against Flint Hills.

Trever Quaney, junior, Burlingame:

The 6-foot-7 Quaney is a load for opponents in the Lyon County League. He has a couple of big outings, including 19 against Marais
