Jordan Barnard, senior, Olpe:
The loaded Eagles, fresh off a state runner-up finish in football, are off and running at 3-0. They are deep and balanced. So far, Barnard, a 1A honorable mention pick a year ago, is leading the team in scoring with 14 points per game. The 6-foot-1 senior averaged 12 points a year ago.
Chase Harris Chase Harris 6'2" | CG Wichita Heights | 2022 State KS on, senior, Madison:
Harrison earned third-team all-state in 1A a year ago, and he’s back at it for the #3 ranked Madison Bulldogs. He’s been in double figures his last three contests, including 26 in a runaway over Marmaton Valley. The has already hit 10 3-pointers after four games.
Devan Mcewen Devan Mcewen 6'3" | SG Lebo | 2021 State KS , senior, Lebo:
The second-team 1A performer as a junior has already had several 20-plus point games this year for #5 Lebo. He went for 35 against Hartford (including five 3-pointers) and 26 against Flint Hills.
Trever Quaney, junior, Burlingame:
The 6-foot-7 Quaney is a load for opponents in the Lyon County League. He has a couple of big outings, including 19 against Marais des Cygnes Valley, and 18 against Southern Coffey.
Drew Stutesman Drew Stutesman 6'2" | CG Madison | 2022 State KS , junior, Madison:
The undefeated Bulldogs are currently ranked #3 in 1A, thanks in large part to the stellar play of 6-foot-3 junior Stutesman. After earning second-team 1A honors as a sophomore, then all-state in football in the 8-man category this fall, Stutesman has four games of 18 or more points already in this season.
