Braeden Pitts – HSAA – 2024
Braeden was a standout player for this HSAA team carrying them past TACA Storm as well as Grapevine Faith. Braeden was a guy that could play fast on defense, but also drop buckets on the offensive end. In his game against TACA Storm, he had 18 points which was a great factor in the 84-72 victory. In the tough matchup against John Paul II, Pitts had 12 points. And, to top it all off, the young star had 23 points and 7 made three pointers against Fort Worth Christian. As a very young player in this tournament, he has a great future ahead of him. Especially when he is dropping these kinds of points against top level TAPPS competition.
Alex Bossinakis Alex Bossinakis 6'2" | PG Fort Worth Christian | 2022 State TX – Fort Worth Christian – 2022
Alex has been a guy that I have personally watched play for multiple years, and this tournament was nothing short of a good show from him. In his first game of the tournament against a very tough Prestonwood team, Alex had 16 points while running the offense for this Fort Worth team. His assist game was nothing short of perfect as he was able to hit Alec Zambie Alec Zambie 6'6" | SF Fort Worth Christian | 2021 State TX right when he needed to. The game that really stood out for Bossinakis this weekend was his 3:30 game against HSAA when he dropped 23 points and helped his center drop 27 points. The guard has another year on him, but look out for him in this 5A TAPPS Divison as he leads his team into district.
Logan Epes – Bishop Lynch – 2021
Logan was a top performer for this Bishop Lynch team as he lead this team to the final four in this tournament. In a win against a solid Cornerstone Christian team, Logan had 23 points in the 51-45 victory. This Bishop Lynch team has a lot of talent, and Logan just adds to that talent. Bishop Lynch then had to play a strong shooting Grapevine Faith team, and with the strong help from Logan, they were able to win 77-47. The next day they had to go up against a number one ranked JPII team, and Epes was able to put up 10 points as well as help his teammate score 16 points. As this team gains more traction, look out for Logan becoming a shining star.
Kevin Dodard – Lake Country Christian – 2024
This young guard is not one to mess with. As a class of 2024 kid, he starts on this Lake Country team along with his older brother. In their first game, Kevin lead his LCCS team to a 60-48 win over Southwest Christian. In the following game, Dodard scored 17 points in a victory against All Saints, 57-49. In the final game of the tournament, his LCCS team had to go up against a tough Prestonwood team where Kevin had 16 points leading his team in scoring for the second time in this tournament. The young man was a very respectable and talented player that will have his name on college scout’s list in the next couple years.
Roland Frank – Prestonwood Christian – 2021
Roland was just another star on this loaded Prestonwood team, but in this Lake Country Christian tournament he shined as an elite guard. In a game against the chippy Fort Worth Christian team, Roland had 17 points, and he assisted part of his teammate’s 18 points. The next day against the stars of LCCS, Frank had 10 points in helping his team win their Final Four game. In the championship game, against the outstanding John Paul II players, Roland had double digit points with 8 of those coming in the 4th quarter. Although he may go under-looked compared to his teammates, Roland is not one to push under the rug.
