Mitchell: vs Whiteland 1/16
Alec Barlow – 5’8 2021 PG: Barlow is a quick lead guard that sees the floor well. Known for being a good shooter but his 3-point shot was a little off this game. He gets to the rim real well and does a good job in finding his teammate for a bucket. For the most part he looked aggressive on the defensive end and did what he could against the bigger guards. Only ended up with 2 points but played hard.
Nate Reynolds – 5’10 2021 PG: This was really the first time I was able to see Reynolds’ game. Shorter guard but has a strong frame. Has a good outside shot with a pretty stroke. Attacks the rim well and looks to have a little combo guard in him. Finished with 5 points but if his shot gets in gets in rhythm in any game he could be tough to beat on the outside. Hanover Football commit so you know he is always gonna bring the toughness and leadership for the Bluejackets.
Whiteland: vs Mitchell 1/16
Quentin Gillespie Quentin Gillespie 6'0" | PG Whiteland | 2021 State IN – 6’0 2021 PG: Gillespie is a taller guard that is long and lanky. Looks to be a solid shooter that can get to the basket with long strides. Not overly aggressive but aggressive on both ends when he needs to be. Sees the floor well and is quick about his decision making with the ball. Mostly a tennis player but just an athlete overall. He finished with 4 points.
Logan Willoughby Logan Willoughby 6'1" | SG Whiteland | 2021 State IN – 6’1 2021 SG: Was real impressed with Willoughby this game. Bigger 2 guard that shoots so well form the outside. Aggressive player overall and is an elite scorer on the offense. Just one of those types of player that checks all the boxes with his strength and smartness on the court. This was the first time I had seen Willoughby since the Senior Showcase and man did his game look improved. Finished with 20 points and could easily go on to play at the next level and contribute at a high level.
Madison: vs Bedford North Lawrence 1/12
Luke Miller – 6’1 2021 G: Miller is as smooth as they come. Long and lanky lefty that can flat out shoot it. Does a good job in not sticking to just the outside as he converted a few drives. Pretty quick all around and has some long strides when he runs anywhere on the floor. He ended up being the leading scorer for the Cubs with 21 points and his points were distributed at all three levels. Did not know much about Miller going into this game, other than he averages 19.5 ppg, but from watching him I can say he is one of the more natural scorers I have seen this year.
Luke Ommen – 6’2 2021 SF: Ommen is a bigger forward that is pretty strong. Averages nearly 13 ppg and 6.1 rbg and it was easily to see why because of the physicality he plays with. Played mostly inside and with his back to the basket so did not get a great look at his face-up jumper. Was all over the boards this game as one would expect with his high rebound average. Just a hustle type player with a bruising playing style. Oh, and he hit a beautiful fader at the buzzer to win the game. He finished with 12 points.
Nick Center Nick Center 6'2" | PG Madison | 2021 State IN – 6’2 2021 SG: Center is a taller shooting guard that plays with a ton of energy. His mid ranger jumper was hitting early and he got to the basket a ton. He is one of those players that is going to play hard the entire game and give you everything he has on both ends. Seen Center a few times this past year and watching him this time I could tell that his game looked more complete. Really think he can come in at the next level and contribute. Ended up with 14 points and 14 rebounds this game.
