Pike: vs Noblesville 1/5
Edward Jones Edward Jones 6'5" | PF Indianapolis Pike | 2021 State IN – 6’5 2021 PF: Jones is an athletic stretch 4 with a high vertical. Great rebounder and so explosive on the offensive end. His defense is excellent and makes it real tough to score in the inside. Solid midrange shooter, especially with his baseline jumper. Given the right opportunity, I feel like Jones could play at the next level. He finished this game with 13 points.
Noblesville: vs Pike 1/5
Noah Harris – 6’6 2021 SG/SF: Harris is a taller prospect that has elite athleticism. Great defender and can guard the post and wing so well. On offense he is pretty smooth inside but is at his best moving without the ball as he cuts so well to the basket. Wanted to see a bit more shooting from him this game but I know he has a capable jumper from the Senior Showcase last fall. With the right opportunity and development, I think he has a chance to be an impact player at the next level.
Evansville Reitz: vs Bedford North Lawrence 1/8
Owen Dease Owen Dease 6'7" | SF Evansville Reitz | 2021 State IN – 6’7 2021 SF: Dease is a long, lean wing that is as smooth as they come. Usually known for his sharp shooting, he actually failed to convert a single 3-pointer (0-5) but did a good job of taking it to the rim when his shot was not falling. Got most of his points from the free-throw line this game. Just the type of player that is patient with his attacks and is just going to be calm and play his game. Even with this rare game of poor shooting from behind the arc, it is well-known that he can light it up from there. Just an overall balanced player that will have an opportunity to excel at the D1 level. He finished the game with 14 points.
Ethan Higgs Ethan Higgs 6'4" | SG Evansville Reitz | 2021 State IN – 6’4 2021 SG: Higgs is a tough, aggressive player with a good amount of talent. Plays in your face type basketball and has a solid amount of bonce to his game. Does a good job in mixing up his offense with a good outside shot and ability to get to the rim. Not the biggest guard but makes up for it with his speed and explosiveness. Shot 50% overall this game and finished with 13 points. Finished off the game with a huge fastbreak slam. Great game from Higgs here.
Jadyn McHugh – 6’1 2021 SG: McHugh is a taller wing that has a good amount of athleticism. Kind of an overlooked starter for the Panthers but does his job so well. Real good defender because of his lateral quickness and his taller frame helps him stick in front of the offensive player. On offense he has some underrated scoring ability and does a good job getting to the free-throw line. Ball handles are good enough for him to play on the ball as well. Ended up with 5 points but really like what McHugh brings to this team.
