The lefty has a smooth jump shot but also showed he could get into the paint and make some plays as well. His team was outmatched against Pinecrest but he showed some flashes of his skillset and potential.
Another game, another triple double for Terry Sanford HS Forward Davis Molnar Davis Molnar 6'6" | SF Terry Sanford | 2022 State NC . TS is off to a great start with a 6-0 at this point and Molnar has been a big part of the reason why. His ability to score, rebound and facilitate was on full display as he finished with 28 Points, 15 Rebounds & 10 Assist in the win over Pine Forest. On Friday night he didn’t put up a triple double but came fairly close going for 22 Points, 12 Rebounds & 7 Assist against a feisty Cape Fear HS squad. Schools at the Mid-Major and High Major levels are showing interest and his play will only continue to add intrigue from colleges.
Cape Fear Forward Justin Burden Justin Burden 6'4" | SF Cape Fear | 2022 State NC brings some size to the team at 6’5 as well as some rebounding that was valuable in their matchup with a taller team. He doesn’t mind mixing it up inside with opposing bigs and brings a workman like attitude to the court.
Pinecrest HS Guard JJ Goins is not the biggest guard in height or weight but what he does have is plenty of speed! On numerous occasions he forced defenders into fouls or found teammates for easy buckets but pushing the tempo and catching defenders off guard.
St. Pauls HS Guard Jeyvian Tatum Jeyvian Tatum 6'3" | CG St Paul's | 2022 State NC has a chance to be as good as he wants to be if he stays locked in and increases his motor. He’s strong, has a gift for scoring the ball and has what we would describe as sneaky athleticism. Once Tatum consistently starts to play at the level that we know he can, we have no doubt that his recruitment will heat up and schools will be calling.
