With the high school basketball regular season temporarily on hold, various grassroots and AAU events have popped up across the country to fill in the void in the meantime. Hoops 2.0 kicked off its winter showcase the weekend of 1/2 as one of those events looking to help players get exposure opportunities as they await final word on the regular season.

I was able to attend the showcase this most recent weekend and there was quite a bit of talent on display. Here’s a look at some of the players who stood out at the event.

1. Darius CarrDariusCarr6'2" | SGSt. Bernard | 2023#108Nation - St Bernard 2023

Carr is a player who I’ve seen play multiple times now and each time he is improved. He’s really starting to establish himself as a team’s lead guard. He’s very unselfish and has a great court vision. He’s more than capable of scoring himself, but he sees the floor and can set up his teammates for easy buckets. He probes the defense and finds the cracks to attack. Patient player who doesn’t force anything. High upside.

2. Levi Darrow - Newport Harbor 2021

Darrow is another solid point guard. He’s a solid passer/playmaker who plays
