Tyler Jackson Tyler Jackson 6'4" | SG Garfield Heights | 2021 State OH ’s presence on the offensive end was needed for the Bulldogs, where they took a 28-27 lead at halftime.
That’s when the Tigers started to make a statement. They opened up the third quarter strong, outscoring the Bulldogs 14-4 coming out of halftime. A quiet first half was supplanted with second half statement from the unsigned point guard. Hameed was able to start the third quarter knocking down a corner 3-pointer, and ending the quarter getting fouled behind the arc, ultimately sinking all three free throws as well. He tallied 13 points and gained confidence as the game went on, getting more comfortable with the ball in his hands and beating defenders off the dribble. He’s able to make an impact in the game with or without the ball in his hands.
Tyler Jackson Tyler Jackson 6'4" | SG Garfield Heights | 2021 State OH | 6-4 Sr | Garfield
A player who’s looked more comfortable creating his own shot, Jackson was able to knock down two 3-pointers during the loss but did more than just display his deep range. He was one of the more aggressive players chasing after rebounds and likes to play up to his physicality when trying to post up on the block. His footwork can improve in order to become a more dominant post player, but Jackson should continue to be a centerpiece of a Bulldog team missing Sonny Johnson Jr. Sonny Johnson Jr. 5'10" | PG Garfield Heights | 2022 State OH
Ramelle Arnold Ramelle Arnold 6'0" | PG Warrensville Heights | 2021 State OH | 5-11 Sr | Warrensville Heights
A highlight reel waiting to happen, Ramelle Arnold Ramelle Arnold 6'0" | PG Warrensville Heights | 2021 State OH ’s game was on full display against Garfield. He basically got any shot he wanted, thriving on hitting his open jump shots. He’s not afraid to test his range, burying three 3-points while pouring in a game-high 24 points. Arnold has a strong left hand and displayed elite ability to finish at any side of the rim. It doesn’t take much for him to heat up and something that stood out to me was his ability to pick apart a half-court defense.
Terrion Ellis | 6-3 Sr | Warrensville Heights
A player who did much more than just score the ball, Terrion Ellis was a force inside the paint all night long. He’s an aggressive player who’s got very quick hands on defense, poking away the ball a myriad of times while creating turnovers for the Bulldogs relentlessly. He made players like Jackson and Tavian Tatum Tavian Tatum 6'5" | PF Garfield Heights | 2022 State OH work for every basket on the opposing end. With a soft touch near the rim, Eliis will look to play a pivotal part in the paint for a senior-laden team this season.
