Garfield and Warrensville Heights met Tuesday night where the game got off to a sluggish start for both teams. Turnovers coupled with poor shot selections found it a low scoring first half. A quiet first half was supplanted with second half statement from the unsigned point guard. Hameed was able to start the third quarter knocking down a corner 3-pointer, and ending the quarter getting fouled behind the arc, ultimately sinking all three free throws as well. He tallied 13 points and gained confidence as the game went on, getting more comfortable with the ball in his hands and beating defenders off the dribble.
