FRANKLIN (10-3) AT BROOKFIELD CENTRAL (9-4)
These two teams continue to play loaded schedules and get ready for March.
Currently atop the Southeast Conference, Franklin has taken down the likes of Wauwatosa East and Westosha Central this season. The Sabers have ripped off five-straight wins as well. Senior forward Carter Capstran Carter Capstran 6'6" | PF Franklin | 2021 State WI leads a deep squad at 17.5 points and 8.4 points per rgame.
Brookfield Central is still trying to find its footing this season. The Lancers are still looking for that marquee win despite a big senior season from Texas commit David Joplin David Joplin 6'8" | SF Brookfield | 2021 State #54 Nation WI , who’s putting up 24 points and 10 rebounds per game this season. St. Thomas commit Ben Nau Ben Nau 6'1" | PG Brookfield Central | 2021 State WI (17.8 ppg) and junior guard Andrew Rohde Andrew Rohde 6'6" | SG Brookfield Central | 2022 State WI (13.4 ppg) have also been as good as advertised.
PEWAUKEE (12-3 )AT WISCONSIN LUTHERAN (12-1)
A share of first place is on the line in the Woodland West Conference. These two teams met seven days ago with Pewaukee taking a 72-55 win at home.
Arguably no one in the state has played a tougher schedule than the Pirates, who have faced Kimberly, Brookfield East, Wauwatosa East, Sussex Hamilton, Arrowhead, and Neenah all in non-conference play. Behind the trio of Milan Momcilovic Milan Momcilovic 6'8" | SF Pewaukee | 2023 State #44 Nation WI (17.6 ppg), Ashton Janowski Ashton Janowski 6'1" | CG Pewaukee | 2022 State WI (17.4 ppg), and Josh Terrian Josh Terrian 6'4" | SF Pewaukee | 2022 State WI (12.5 ppg), Pewaukee has been very difficult to guard this season.
Wisconsin Lutheran looks to avenge its only loss of the season. The Vikings are led by one of the state’s top available seniors Jonah Rindfleisch Jonah Rindfleisch 6'7" | SF Wisconsin Lutheran | 2021 State WI (14.7 ppg) and sophomore guard Prentice Young Prentice Young 6'4" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State #273 Nation WI (13.7 ppg).
SEYMOUR (9-5) AT WEST DE PERE (9-6)
Three teams are vying for the Bay Conference title. Two of them will square off on Friday.
Seymour sits one game back of West De Pere in the standings and can move into a tie atop the league with a win. Senior guard Mason Dorn Mason Dorn 6'1" | SG Seymour | 2021 State WI has been stellar this season, averaging 29.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
The Phantoms won the first meeting 60-56 back on Jan. 2. Senior forward Dawson Nordgaard Dawson Nordgaard 6'9" | PF West De Pere | 2021 State WI (14.9 ppg) leads a balanced scoring attack for West De Pere, who is attempting to end a two-game losing streak.
WESTOSHA CENTRAL (10-1) AT BURLINGTON (11-3)
Westosha Central can all but close the door on the Southern Lakes Conference with a win. The Falcons currently sit two games up on Burlington and won the first meeting back on Dec. 15. Junior guard Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI is putting up 20.6 points per game, but Central is also getting big contributions from juniors Devin Griffin (14.5 ppg) and Kenny Garth Kenny Garth 6'2" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI (14.4 ppg).
One of the biggest surprises in the state, Burlington has opened eyes with a recent win over SJNA. Senior guard Joey Berezowitz leads the way at 19.5 ppg.
CHIPPEWA FALLS (8-3) AT HUDSON (9-3)
Of the seven teams in the Big Rivers Conference, six of them can beat anybody on any given night. Hudson enters Friday sitting atop the league with a 6-2 mark, while Chippewa Falls can shake things up at 3-2 in conference play as they are one of four teams with three losses or less.
Sioux Falls commit Luke Healy Luke Healy 6'0" | CG Hudson | 2021 State WI leads the Raiders at 25.2 points and nearly four assists per game. Hudson did fall in the first meeting 74-70 back on Dec. 15, but have since won nine-straight games after an 0-3 start.
Having lost two of three, Chippewa Falls looks to get back on track. Hillsdale commit Joe Reuter Joe Reuter 6'4" | SG Chippewa Falls | 2021 State WI has been quietly putting up big numbers, averaging 26.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
