The late start to the season is giving us a delayed introduction to an impactful and exciting freshman class. They have both instant impact players, guys that will develop into stars over the long term, and a combination of both of these. Let's take a look at, and get familiar with, a few of the freshman in Michigan this season.

Mohamad Farahani (2024, PG, Bloomfield Hills)

Farahani is an electric backcourt prospect. He has some flash and playmaking skills in his game. Farahani is a shooter that can create looks on his own. He's a solid ball handler that's able to beat a lot of defenders off the dribble and create. Farahani really showed out at the Prep Hoops Top 250 in October.

Noah Vanlaningham (2024, CG, Mattawan)

Vanlaningham is an absolute gym rat and workhorse. With his skills and desire to be in the gym, success seems inevitable. He's an excellent shooter, but can also slash and cut to the rim. Vanlaningham can finish with either hand. He can play either guard spot, but seems like a natural 2.
