The high energy and versatility of Temarius Mathis Temarius Mathis 6'0" | PG Peach County | 2022 State GA has gotten Peach County off to a 6-1 start. Mathis has done a little bit of everything to lead the Trojans. He’s averaging 14.8 points, 5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 4.6 steals and 1 block. He’s tough off the dribble and can create offense for himself and his teammates. His instincts on defense give him a natural advantage.
5-8 PG Jacques Williams – Lowndes
Though he may be undersized, Jacques Williams is a tenacious guard that gets up under ball handlers. His quickness and active hands force turnovers. On offense, he can create with a limited amount of dribbles and has a good looking shot. The jitterbug is pitching in 9.6 points, 3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 5.2 steals per game.
6-6 C Jerald Colonel – Groves
Averaging 7.2 points, 14 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 8.7 blocks per game, Jerald Colonel is a springy forward that has blossomed into an elite rim protector. His quickness off the floor and his ability to be in the right spot defensively has made him an impactful presence. He will need work on offense, but his defense makes him a game-changer at the high school level.
6-3 F Connor McKay – Rabun County
McKay is the heart and soul of the Tigers with his relentless effort inside. Only 6-foot-3, McKay plays above the rim and is one of the top rebounders in the state currently averaging 18.5 points, 13.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 blocks. He has a diverse skillset that attacks defenses from all angles. He can shoot the three ball but can also attack off the dribble and do damage in the paint where he draws plenty of fouls.
6-0 PG Gregory Kearney – Woodland-Stockbridge
A strong guard that has worked his way up the depth chart, Gregory Kearney has gotten a chance to show what he can do in the backcourt as he’s lifted Woodland back into the state picture. Kearney is a solid guard that has deep range. He’s got a smooth release that makes defenses have to stretch the floor to defend. When needed, he can get downhill and make things happen with his passing. Kearney is averaging 15.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals to start the year.
