With public school competition back in full swing for the most part, we have had a great opportunity to see plenty of talented prospects, so lets jump right in and take a look some standout upperclassmen performers.
One of the best available bigs left in the region is The Burlington School 6’9 Forward Kuluel Mading Kuluel Mading 6'10" | C The Burlington School | 2021 State NC who recently reopened his recruitment. Mading put up 21 Points & 12 Rebounds in their win over High Point Christian, showcasing his athleticism and ability to stretch the floor. Schools at the Mid-Major and High Major levels have already offered so it will be interesting to see how things play out for him.
He’s already decided that he will be playing football on the next level but North Davidson Senior Jamarien Dalton Jamarien Dalton 6'2" | CG North Davidson | 2021 State NC has been absolutely dominate on the basketball court ! On Tuesday night against Mount Tabor he put together one of his best performances of the season, dropping 35 Points and putting on a show of his athleticism while doing it!
New Life Christian Senior Guard Al Singleton has started the week off on a high note, averaging 26.5 Points in two games. Singleton has shot the ball from deep at a high level but also is showing some ability to make plays off the bounce.
His team came up short in their matchup with Holly Springs but Senior Guard Tharius Suggs Tharius Suggs 6'3" | CG Middle Creek | 2021 State NC was a huge reason why they were able to make a big time comeback in the 2nd half. Suggs dropped 27 Points and was constantly attacking the Holly Springs defense with his speed and athleticism. We feel that he is a legit college prospect that schools should be giving a call to.
After taking a loss to start the season, Westover HS bounced back with a blowout win over Southern Lee. Westover Senior Guard D’Marco Dunn D’Marco Dunn 6'4" | CG Westover | 2021 State #75 Nation NC led the way with 29 Points which he brings his average to over 25 PPG after two games this season. The UNC signee is an efficient scorer that can put the ball in the bucket from all three levels and is still only scratching the surface of how good he can be.
