Rafe Kalberloh 6’2 Lakeland: The 2021 guard a.k.a. “Lakeland Buckets” scored 24 points as the Vikings pulled out a hard-fought championship game victory. Held to eight points in the first half, Rafe got busy in the second half as he scored 16 points, including a clutch 3-pointer that tied the game at 50-50 late in regulation. He scores from three levels with deep shooting range the ability to create shots in the post with his physical strength.
Lane Dunlap Lane Dunlap 5'10" | CG Golden City | 2021 State MO 5’11 Golden City: The 2021 guard scored a game-high 32 points before fouling out late in the championship game, which was a game-changer because he was a dominant force from the opening tip. He scored 20 points in the first half as he attacked the basket and finished on a consistent basis while mixing in short jumpers and 3-pointers. In the final two days of the tournament, he scored 73 points, which included a career-high 41 points in the semifinals.
Josh Reeves 6’1″ Golden City: The 2023 guard had a nice championship game with 19 points as he scored timely buckets over the course of this nip-and-tuck affair. He plays well within the offense as he moves well without the basketball and he knocked down some key 3-point shots in the second half. He has a good feel for the game and stays under control.
Cooper Wilken 5’6″ Weaubleau: The 2023 guard had a big game with 19 points as host Weaubleau defeated El Dorado Springs to take home the third-place trophy. He was on fire from long distance as he hit five 3-pointers on the evening. When he was knocking down perimeter shots, he used his speed and quickness to get into the lane and score on a couple of layups and floaters or kick it out to an open teammate.
Kaden Burley 6’5″ El Dorado Springs: A young 2023 post player who displayed a lot of potential in my eyes. He didn’t score much on the offensive end, but he was a real factor on defense with his length and shot blocking. He blocked at least four shots in the first half alone. He has pretty good mobility and he moved well. I could see him becoming an even bigger factor as he gains more strength to deal with the physical play inside.
