The event which has a 3 game guarantee, provides an excellent opportunity for players to compete, as well as gain much-needed exposure. In this article, we take a look at some of the impact bigs participating in the event.
Dakari Grice Dakari Grice 6'4" | PF Basic | 2021 State NV 6’4 C Big Show Ballers 2021 (#91PHN 2021) – Expect bodies to fly when Grice takes the floor. The big body forward is an absolute load down low. He is usually responsible for rebounding and defending, but if he can generate any scoring down low then that should provide a big boost for BSB.
Lowell Francis Chan Lowell Francis Chan 6'6" | SF Sierra Vista | 2021 State NV 6’4 SF Blue Hoops 2021 (#56PN 2021) – Chan plays quite a bit on the perimeter, however, his size allows him to be effective in the post as well. He has a nice touch around the basket, and will be counted on to help BH gets buckets down low.
Tommy Brascia Tommy Brascia 6'8" | PF Durango | 2023 State NV 6’7 PF Purple Reign 2023 (#9PHN 2023) (featured image) – Brascia is probably the most athletic of all the bigs participating in this event. He is a high motor guy, with the ability to stretch defenses with his rim running ability. PR has a talented team, however, the sophomore’s ability to rebound and score down low is imperative to their success this weekend.
Brigs Johnson 6’0 PF Elko 2021 – Johnson leaves it all out on the floor. When I saw him in Utah he played with energy and effort, knee brace and all. Definitely an undersized post, but he makes up for it with a huge heart. The forward is a dedicated screen setter and low post defender that will be counted on to give big minutes this weekend to an Elko squad playing 4 games.
Coleman Lemke Coleman Lemke 6'7" | PF Faith Lutheran | 2021 State NV 6’8 PF Team Rogue 2021 (#19PHN 2021) – If the Eastern Washington commit suits up this week for TR then it definitely gives them another weapon. The stretch 4 is a sharpshooter, who put on a marvelous shooting display the last time they took on Elko.
