Creighton Morisch, Spirit Lake High School (2021)
In a high blood pressured game, Morisch was the one who delivered the pass to for the game-winning basket made for the Indians. He would finish the game with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. The long, 6’7 senior who is committed to Morningside College brings a versatile style to the game with the way he can hit shots from the outside but can carve out lanes to the basket or go into the post to score. He possesses a good understanding of the game as shown by his final pass to win the game.
Justin Recker Justin Recker 6'6" | PF Monticello | 2021 State IA , Monticello High School (2021)
The 6’6 wing/forward had a quietly really good game for the Panthers ending the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Some of the blocks were timely during the game and helped give Monticello the edge over Camanche. Recker does quite a bit of work within the paint but can step out and shoot the 3 ball as he went 2/4 from 3pt land on Friday. Recker is an uncommitted senior who should be on collegiate radars.
Zayne Feller Zayne Feller 6'7" | PF Camanche | 2021 State IA , Camanche High School (2021)
Although Monticello ended up winning the game in overtime, Camanche had a good game plan of getting the ball inside to try to utilize the size advantage they possessed. Feller was a player who benefitted off that and showed well to score 13 points and most importantly 14 rebounds in the game. He was good at getting into pockets of space to receive the ball from his teammates to score.
Caden Rehmeier Caden Rehmeier 6'5" | PF Indianola | 2021 State IA , Indianola High School (2021)
I have seen Indianola play a couple of times this year, and Rehmeier impresses me with the way he can shoot the ball off the catch. At 6’5 he shows the ability to be a good 3pt shooter past the high school level and can rebound the basketball well corralling 6 rebounds on Saturday against the Wolverines. Rehmeier shot the ball well and came up with 16 points on 50% shooting from 3pt land.

A very quick PG who can shoot it at a good clip as well from the perimeter,

is a player who can really go with the ball in his hands. At 6’0, Scott is a physical driver who uses his low center of gravity well and strength to fend off defenders. In the matchup with Kennedy Scott provided 17 points, making 5 three pointers in the game while being the offensive initiator.
Caden Stoffer Caden Stoffer 6'5" | SG Prairie | 2021 State IA , Cedar Rapids Prairie High School (2021)
Stoffer was on my radar when I tuned into the game between Prairie and Linn-Mar, but he really shot the ball well from all over the floor. Stoffer was doing it best off the catch from teammates as he shows a good repeatable shooting stroke. He would end the game with 18 points on 54.5% shooting from the field and 40% 3pt shooting on the game.
Bryce Greiner, Keota High School (2021)
In a game that did not go as planned for the Eagles against Montezuma, Greiner was a bright spot for the offense. He would end up coming off the bench and hitting 6/9 shots, 4/6 from 3 and 16 total points. He would also add in 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals on the defensive end. At 5’11, Greiner seemed like he was playing more in a post/big man role, but he was shooting it from the perimeter on Friday night and it just seemed like if we had a +/- statistic Greiner might have ranked the highest for Keota.
Cole Watts Cole Watts 5'10" | SG Montezuma | 2021 State IA , Montezuma High School (2021)
Watts’ senior teammate, Trey Shearer Trey Shearer 5'10" | PG Montezuma | 2021 State IA , gets a lot of attention when it comes to Montezuma basketball but Watts is a great partner in the offense with Watts’ ability to shoot it off the catch from long range. Well on Friday, Watts was the one who got off to a hot start against Keota shooting the ball from the perimeter. He would finish the game with 15 points shooting 5/8 from the field and 3/5 from the perimeter.
Reid Grant Reid Grant 6'1" | PG Johnston | 2021 State IA , Johnston High School (2021)
Though Grant ended the game against Dowling with 8 points, 4 assists, he effects the game in different ways that don’t show up on the stat sheet. Grant came up with 4 steals on the defensive end and did things throughout the game that helped his team come away with the win. The penetration into the lane that Grant constantly got on Saturday helped move the ball throughout the offense. Grant also did show a good range of moves around the hoop to score the ball whether that be a turnaround, hook shot, or a simple blow by.
Ryan Riggs Ryan Riggs 6'9" | PF Dowling Catholic | 2021 State IA , Dowling Catholic High School (2021)
Dowling has a tall frontcourt and Riggs is the one who leads that. At 6’8, Riggs is a big presence inside and has been playing varsity basketball for Dowling for a few seasons now and shows good experience on the court. He’s an efficient scorer when he gets the ball inside near the hoop. Riggs scored 13 points against Johnston on Saturday on 5/8 shots, corralling 3 rebounds and providing 1 block on the defensive end.
Matt Riedl Matt Riedl 6'2" | SF Dowling Catholic | 2021 State IA , Dowling Catholic High School (2021)
Riedl was one of the best players on the court against Johnston, and showed that out of the gates in the first half on Saturday. Riedl is an athletic wing, who can spot up shoot, but his best attribute is getting the rack and finishing around the hoop and getting out in transition which he was able to do against the Dragons. Riedl would finish the game with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Both he and Riggs could be good, late additions to a collegiate 2021 class.
