Hosted by recruiting legend, Gerry Freitas, the event featured grassroots programs from Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. It also featured several guys with the ability to clean the glass. In this article, we take a look at some of the top rebounders from the event.
Quin Patterson Quin Patterson 6'7" | SF Mount Si | 2022 State WA 6’7 SF Team Lavine 2022 (#7PHW 2022) – Patterson is starting to look like a potential breakout star. He clearly lived up to his top 10 WC shooting status. As usual, Patterson splashed 3’s from all over the court, this weekend he showed off his mid-range and ability to score around the rim. He had a 36 point performance during the weekend.
Will Woodward Will Woodward 6'7" | SF Eastlake | 2022 State WA 6’7 SF Cloud 9 2022 (#15PHN 2022) – Woodard is a powerful forward with skill. He scored with his jumper, and around the rim. The 6’7 wing from Washington has committed to play baseball at UW.
Jalen Barbee Jalen Barbee 6'5" | SG Franklin Pierce | 2021 State WA 6’5 SF Washington Supreme 2021 (#47PHW 2021) – A Swiss Army knife type player, Barbee did it all this weekend. He was good on both ends, impacting games with steals and blocks, while scoring in transition and off dribble drives. Good athlete that was able to grab several out of area rebounds.
Michael Ajayi 6’4 SG West Coast Prep 2021 – Ajayi is the definition of a sleeper. A long rangy wing, he didn’t play varsity basketball his junior season. Looks like he has improved a lot since then. He showed good iso skills, hit 3’s and was a problem on the defensive end. I have to see him play some more, but he was a revelation on the week.
Tyler Isaak Tyler Isaak 6'3" | SG San Ramon | 2021 State CA-N 6’3 SF Team Grr 2021 – Isaak was solid this weekend, impacting the games on both ends. He showed the ability to space the floor with his 3 point shooting and find teammates with his passing. Defensively he played with a high IQ and displayed the ability to defend multiple positions.
