The AIA season will now start Monday January 18th with most of the first games on Tuesday Jan 19th.
So we take a look at some of the top players in every conference.
We look at more SG’s in 4A.
Here are some sleeper SG’s that will impact their team:
Jackson LeybaJacksonLeyba6'0" | SGDeer Valley | 2021StateAZ (Deer Valley)
-A tough guard who can score it from both levels outside. He likes the mid range jumper but he can hit from 3 as well. He is strong to rebound the ball despite being a little undersized. And you can’t teach his toughness and how hard he works on defense.
Brady Ramon
BradyRamon6'1" | SGSalpointe Catholic | 2021StateAZ (Salpointe Catholic)
-Another physical guard can score it from inside and out. He can take a bump and score it the lane plus shoot it with range. He can shoot it in traffic and has a cerebral game to make plays. Without some of their top seniors who have gradated, I think Ramon will make a big leap up in production.
Jacob BegayJacobBegay5'9" | CGCoconino | 2021StateAZ (Coconino)
-Another standout from a smaller school that, although undersized, he can score it from all levels. He will team up with

Preston OlneyPrestonOlney5'8" | PGCoconino | 2021AZ to from a tough duo in Flagstaff.
Carter John
CarterJohn6'1" | SGBradshaw Mountain | 2021AZ (Bradshaw Mountain) (Pictured)
-One of the most athletic players that many people don’t know a lot about. He flies on the break and uses his speed to get passed his defenders. He rebounds the ball well and can push it. He also can defend the 1-3 for his team.
Extavius MasonExtaviusMason6'2" | CGGreenway | 2022StateAZ (Greenway)
-With both of their top seniors of
Nick McClainNickMcClain6'3" | SFGreenway | 2021StateAZ and
Daniel HuffDanielHuff6'5" | PFGreenway | 2021StateAZ not playing this season, Mason will have a lot on his shoulders. He should of been their 3rd guy, but will now be thrown into the lead role. He is definitely capable and it wouldn’t shock me for him to score near 20 points a night. He has deep range and good burst to get into the lane.
Jayson RedhouseJaysonRedhouse6'0" | CGBuckeye | 2022StateAZ (Buckeye)
-Another player with a lot on his plate. Their top 3 scorers all transferred out or graduated. He will get a lot of shots up and he can shoot it with a pretty looking stroke. He has a quick release and plays with confidence. He can make plays but he will need to take the tough shots each game.
Khalon JohnsonKhalonJohnson6'2" | CGShadow Mountain | 2024AZ (Shadow Mountain)
-A talented soph may get his opportunity to be a big factor for the Matadors. He can score it from all 3 levels with hitting the 3, cutting to the basket and creating his own shot. He plays with his emotions on his sleeve and gives his all each time he steps on the floor.
