There’s a few in this group that will be making their varsity debut, when we get back in the gym in California. Based on their performances at this event they’ll contribute right away!
Noah Thomas Noah Thomas 6'3" | SG Pleasant Valley | 2022 State CA-N 6’2 Combo guard attends Pleasant Valley HS in Chico CA. He played with NorCal Ducks 16 at this event. Thomas is a two sport athlete (football) who should contribute to the Varsity right away. He’s athletic and can score in different ways. He plays with a boat load confidence, and is tough to deal with when he gets the ball in the open court. He has 3pt range, and the handles to get to the basket, and finish with authority.
Matt Hoffman 6’4 Shooting guard, played with Rose City Ballers 16. Hoffman knocked down a good number of 3’s at this event, with a good field goal percentage in the four games he played. I wont stick the shooters label on him just yet. The lefty showed he could get into the lane for nice left hand finishes, and dime jumpers. He has a solid body, and doesn’t mind physical contact.
Demarreya Lewis-Cooper Point guard attends Enterprise HS in Redding CA. Cooper played with NorCal Ducks 16. The skilled Pt guard is loaded with Pt guard potential. It’ll be good for him to go up against stiffer competition to get a more accurate assessment of his level. At this event he showed himself to be on a higher level than his 16U competition.
Kai Wallin 6’6 Power Forward/Center attends Jesuit In Carmichael, CA. He plays with Rose City Ballers 16. Wallin has a nice frame and a growing body. He has a few go to moves that works for him in the post area, including a face up drive to the front of the rim, his foot work down on the block stood out. Walling finds a body on the block out, he jumps straight up with two hands to effect shots. He cuts hard to the basket with good hands to finish with a bucket.
Luca Davis Luca Davis 6'4" | SF Grant | 2022 State CA-N 6’3 Small Forward attends Grant HS in Sacramento, CA. He plays with Pacer Academy. Luca is the intangible, you really can’t put a position on him because he’ll contribute as long as he’s on the court. He’s probably not going to be the leading scorer at this point but his offensive skill set should improve over time with that being said, Luca plays with energy, he’ll rebound, defend multiple positions, sprint up the court.
