Scouts are pulling their hair out too. I miss the gym. I miss seeing kids make and secure their futures. I miss seeing epic performances that young men will never forget. Let’s take a look at 5 juniors that I miss watching play due to all of the delays.
Terrance Broughton Terrance Broughton 6'0" | PG Cass Tech | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Westland John Glenn)
Broughton is now at Westland John Glenn, and word coming out of that camp is that Broughton is a player to see this season. He has a quick first step and can really attack the defense. He’s been a high level talent since the day he walked into high school and I believe that a lot of that talent will show this season. I’m looking forward to watching Broughton continue his solid play from the Top 250.
Cooper Fairman Cooper Fairman 6'3" | SF Saline | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Saline)
I’ve been predicting a huge comeback and I know that I’m right. We just need to watch it take shape. After the delays are done, he will show you why he’s underrated as an athlete and how he can score in a variety of ways. Fairman is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, a next level player.
Sam Leppien Sam Leppien 6'10" | C Alma | 2022 State MI (2022, C, Alma)
Leppien made a statement at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250. It really felt like he was on the brink of moving up a level as a player and a prospect. He was on my preseason must watch list. I was looking forward to seeing physicality and dominance in the paint from him.
Calvin Marshall Calvin Marshall 6'6" | SF Western International | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Detroit Edison)
Marshall was highlighted when making my preseason plans this year. He excels in a fast paced game that allows him to get out in the open floor and use space. Marshall is an athletic finisher that can change the game with1 big play.
Alex Watters Alex Watters 6'1" | CG Lansing Catholic | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, Lansing Catholic)
Watters showed how athletic he is by dominating on the football field this season. He’s often been underrated in that area of his game. I believe that Watters has a very high ceiling. Like top 10-15 in the state in his class type of talent. He has a high basketball IQ and has a nice feel for the game.
