Coaches, players, and scouts are frustrated to say the least. We all miss the gym and all that goes with it. We miss seeing kids make lifetime memories playing the sport they love. Let’s take a look at 5 sophomores that I miss watching play due to all of the delays.
See 5 Juniors that I miss watching due to the delays as well:
And here are 5 Sophomores:
Durral Brooks Durral Brooks 6'2" | PG Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
This young man is a baller. The sky is the limit for this explosive young lead guard. He shows a little Wendell Green Jr. with his handles, his ability to break down the D, and his body control in the lane. Brooks should be on everyone’s must see list.
Jaxon Childers Jaxon Childers 6'2" | SG Benzie Central | 2024 State MI (2024, SG, Benzie Central)
Childers has quietly made quite the impression on the Michigan high school basketball world since this spring. He can handle a physical game as a freshman and has a lot of upside. You’ll see Childers rise up the ranks through his 4 years.
Christian Dunn Christian Dunn 6'7" | PF East Lansing | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, East Lansing)
I’m really excited to see Dunn get on the court. He’s a strong player, especially given that he’s just a freshman. I’m anxious to see his smooth footwork and soft hands in the paint. Dunn could lead the next generation at East Lansing.
Christian Humphrey-Rembert Christian Humphrey-Rembert 6'8" | PF La Lumiere | 2024 #190 Nation IN (2024, PF, East Kentwood)
Humphrey-Rembert has all kinds of upside to say the least. He really impressed me at the Prep Hoops Top 250. He looks like he could probably play either forward spot, especially as he adds weight. Humphrey-Rembert is a smooth athlete with length and touch.
Donnie Watts III Donnie Watts III 6'0" | CG West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Watts II will help continue the tradition of elite level guard play in the PSL. He changes direction, creates space, and gets in the lane off the dribble. Watts II can drive and dish with the best in the class of 2024. He has excellent vision and body control in traffic.
