The Panthers, without one of their best players in senior guard Tadarius Jacobs, looked sharp against the Eagles from start to finish.
Here are the four best players from Bartlett’s win.
Terrance Jacobs Jr.: The junior point guard set the tone early on the offensive end, finding teammates for uncontested shots. Jacobs scored only two points in the first half, while his team went into halftime up 48-26. Jacobs finished with the night with 10 points and eight assists. He recorded three of his eight assists in the first three minutes of the game. Jacobs was active on the defensive end as well, tipping passes and corralling for loose balls.
Kamrin Jones: Jones is a solid catch-and-shoot guard. The senior has a beautiful and quick shot release. Jones scored eight straight points in the first quarter to help his team build a 20-4 lead. He finished the night with 17 points and connected on three 3-pointers.
Will Farris: Surprisingly, Farris was really feeling it from 3-point range. He made the game’s first 3 then made his second one two and a half minutes later to give the home team an early 10-2 lead. Farris found himself getting easy scores in transition and didn’t have any trouble slashing to the basket. He finished with 15 points and went 3 for 5 from the free throw line.
Amarr Knox Amarr Knox 6'3" | PG Bartlett | 2022 State #212 Nation TN : The Memphis commit started to get going after Farris and Jones caught fire. Knox made two 3s late in the first quarter then started off the second quarter making two free throws. The Panthers had great ball movement, which is the norm for teams coached by Dion Real. MHEA didn’t make any of Knox’s shots tough, so he took what the defense offered. Knox had a productive night, leading Bartlett with 21 points.
The Panthers’ defense did a good job overall, especially on junior wing Justin Morgan, who led the Eagles with 15 points. MHEA struggled holding on to the basketball. Bartlett pressed for most of the game, which frustrated the Eagles and didn’t allow them to get into a rhythm offensively.
