2024 Watch List: 5 Wings To Watch
In this article:
Prep Hoops Michigan recently released a Watch List for the class of 2024. It’s an extremely talented group of incoming freshman. We’ll take a look at 5 wings to watch from the list.
* Note – This is not a ’Top 5’, just 5 players to see.
Noah French Noah French 6'2" | SG Orchard Lake St. Marys | 2024 State MI (SG, Roeper)
If you like watching a workhorse play, Noah French Noah French 6'2" | SG Orchard Lake St. Marys | 2024 State MI might be your guy. He’s a grinder in every since of the word. French is a 2 way player that will win you some hustle points. In my opinion, he’s going to improve a ton over the next 4 years.
Amar Johnson Amar Johnson 6'4" | SF Detroit Cass Tech | 2024 MI (SF, Detroit Cass Tech)
Johnson will end up making a lot of noise in the PSL over the next 4 years. He’s a talented athlete on the wing. Johnson has nice size and length and can get buckets in a few different ways. His development as a player should be very interesting to watch.
Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | SF Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI (SF, Rochester Adams)
This is sort of unfair because Prieskorn can play at least 3 positions. As easily as he attacks off the wing, he can also set the offense as a point forward. He reminds me a bit of Legend Geeter Legend Geeter 6'7" | PF River Rouge | 2021 State MI as a freshman in their ability and willingness to play multiple roles.
Daniel Smythe Daniel Smythe 6'3" | CG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2024 State MI (SG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Smythe was absolutely lights out over the course of grassroots season. He showed that he’s an elite shooter in the class of 2024. It seems like Smythe works with in the gym range. As he expands his game, the state of Michigan should watch out.
Jailen Tiggs Jailen Tiggs 6'2" | SF Detroit Edison | 2024 State MI (SF, Detroit Edison)
Tiggs should fit in at Detroit Edison very nicely. Edison has developed a reputation for wings that can attack the rim and finish at the bucket. Tiggs can do just that as well. He can play in the open floor at a fast pace which will suit him nicely in high school ball.
