Travis Perry Travis Perry 6'2" | PG Lyon County | 2024 State #115 Nation KY , Lyon County – Already the most well known name in the class, Perry holds offers from New Orleans and Creighton at this point and should see plenty more come his way in the next 4 years. He’s a scoring machine and on pace to break the record for career points in the KHSAA. He’s also efficient with shooting splits of 53-46-89.
Trent Noah Trent Noah 6'7" | SF Harlan County | 2024 State #139 Nation KY , Harlan County – Noah, like Perry, has done a lot of scoring already and is on track for a huge career across all statistics as he regularly comes close to triple doubles. Trent is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds while playing the point guard spot at 6’5. He’s also closing in on the 50-40-90 club as he’s shooting 50% overall, 45% from 3 and 86% from the free throw line.
Ayden Evans Ayden Evans 6'9" | C Elizabethtown | 2024 State KY , North Hardin – Evans has more potential and upside than almost everyone in the class thanks to his 6’7 (and still growing) frame and good athleticism. His offensive repertoire is still expanding but he could be a 6’9 or bigger monster in a year or two. If all else fails, he shows signs of being a very good rim protector.
Will Bishop, Rockcastle County – Unfortunately, Bishop only got to play one game this season before a foot injury ended his freshman campaign. Once Will gets back to 100%, expect him to get back to showing his skill as a stretch 4 or face up 5. If he doesn’t grow anymore, he’ll need to transition to the wing.
Blake Reed Blake Reed 5'10" | PG Mason County | 2024 KY , Bracken County – Reed seems like he’s been playing varsity basketball for a decade and is well over 1,000 career points already. Blake is a volume scorer at the point guard spot but his ultimate ceiling as a prospect will depend on how he performs in the spring and summer with more talent around him. If he can show he’s an elite facilitator, his upside is high.
Damone King Damone King 6'0" | PG DeSales | 2024 State KY , DuPont Manual – Damone was a top performer at Camp One’s event this fall and should play with the ball in his hands a ton this season once Manual gets rolling and will be battle tested over the course of the next 4 years. At this point, he’s likely the best freshman in the city of Louisville and will have to play with some heavy expectations on him.
Kaydon Custard Kaydon Custard 6'2" | PG Harrison County | 2024 State KY , Harrison County – Kaydon is a tough guard who does a little bit of everything and does it well. He’s strong and able to bully older guards and get to the rim. Probably more of a combo or shooting guard than a true point, Custard has played point a lot this season for Harrison and will be better for it. He does a great job of picking his spots to score and is a growth spurt away from being a big college prospect.
Derrell Bateman Derrell Bateman 6'4" | SF Christian County | 2024 State KY , Christian County – Bateman is long and athletic and should have a chance to see the floor a ton in the next 4 years. He’s much better attacking the rim than he is as a shooter but my opinion on that could be jaded because he had questionable shot selection when I saw him play. Hoptown always has a ton of talent and Bateman could be the next great prospect from the area.
Johnny Djema Johnny Djema 6'8" | PF Evangel Christian | 2024 State KY , Evangel Christian – Johnny is long and athletic and by far the least polished player on this list. He’s putting up a modest 5 points and 5 rebounds per game for Evangel and makes his hay on the court as a rim runner on offense and rim protector on defense. As his skill level develops, he has a chance to be a difference maker in Louisville.
Jacob Hand Jacob Hand 6'4" | SF Holy Cross | 2024 State KY , Louisville Holy Cross – Jacob is a blue collar player who gets things done at the varsity level as a freshman. Averaging a double-double at 17 and 10, Hand is off to a strong start but Holy Cross has not played any Louisville public schools yet and his ceiling will likely be determined when he is competing against high level athletes all over the city and in his AAU season.
