Prep Hoops Maryland recently updated the class of 2023 rankings, and now it’s time to take a closer look. Here is a brief rundown of all the power forwards listed from the DC area.

#5 | Malik BowmanMalikBowman6'8" | PFBishop Walsh | 2023StateMD | Bishop Walsh

Bowman continues to improve and has proven to be resilient against national competition. The lefty can score inside and out but also protect the rim and rebound out of his area. 

#19 | Jason MooreJasonMoore6'6" | PFDeMatha | 2023StateMD | DeMatha

Moore is a very reliable option in the frontcourt for Coach Jones. He can guard multiple positions on the front line and is a good pick-and-roll defender as well. Moore has very good hands and embraces contact when finishing in the paint. 

#25 | Antonio AveryAntonioAvery6'6" | PFGood Counsel | 2023StateMD | Good Counsel

Avery is an energetic forward who can produce with minimal touches. He rim-runs with purpose and is very aggressive on the offensive glass. 

#26 | Tieron VickTieronVick6'5" | PFFairmont Heights | 2023StateMD | Fairmont Heights

Vick is a great athlete with the body of a senior. He is a difference-maker defensively who is active on the glass. 

#30 | Thomas BattiesThomasBatties6'6" | PFGonzaga | 2023StateMD | Gonzaga
