Milan Momcilovic Milan Momcilovic 6'8" | SF Pewaukee | 2023 State #44 Nation WI — PF — Pewaukee
With a lot to still be determined in the 2023 class rankings, Momcilovic has made a clear case for why he is the best sophomore in the state. He has been a bit streaky, but for the most part, the power forward’s play has been extremely impressive. He is averaging 17.6 points per game on 60 percent shooting from the field. Momcilovic is a good scorer in the paint who can also step outside and make shots. Look for the Pewaukee standout to become one of Wisconsin’s best in the future.
Mac Wrecke Mac Wrecke 6'5" | SG Arrowhead | 2023 State #272 Nation WI — SG — Arrowhead
After being a solid role player for Arrowhead in his freshman season, Wrecke has made huge strides in his game and become a star player for the Warhawks. The shooting guard is averaging 21.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per contest. Wrecke is a really good slasher that can brush off contact en route to an easy layup. At the end of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wrecke sees his name higher in the rankings.
John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI — PG — DePere
Kinziger might be the best scorer in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. In 13 games, the point guard has failed to score in double-digits just once. He does a really great job of controlling the tempo and finding creative ways to get his teammates involved in the game. College programs in search of a guard who can get buckets should take a look at Kinziger.
Riley Brooks Riley Brooks 6'5" | SG Ripon | 2023 State #289 Nation WI — SG — Ripon
I haven’t gotten the opportunity to see Brooks play in person yet, but on film he looks like a superstar in the making. The Ripon shooting guard is scoring 23.3 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent from behind the arc. He is coming off a game where he only scored eight points, but I expect the SG to bounce back in a big way in the upcoming games.
Colin Hardrick Colin Hardrick 6'3" | CG Wauwatosa West | 2022 State WI — CG — Wauwatosa West
Hardrick has been a huge pleasant surprise this season. I thought that he looked really good this past AAU season, but I didn’t expect him to find this much success in his sophomore campaign. The combo guard has been tearing up the competition this season, impressing in all aspects. He is scoring 22.3 points per game through 15 contests. Look for the Wauwatosa West prospect to have a huge AAU season.
Demerius Shakur Demerius Shakur 6'2" | CG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI — PG — Martin Luther
Shakur is one of the best overall point guards in the state of Wisconsin. He is a very good passer and ball-handler who rarely makes huge mistakes. As a sophomore, he is scoring 12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. This spring and summer, look for Shakur to play really well with Wisconsin Playground Club.
Prentice Young Prentice Young 6'4" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State #273 Nation WI — PG — Wisconsin Lutheran
Young is one of the more dynamic, exciting players to watch in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. He is a very good slasher who is terrific at drawing contact and getting to the free-throw line. So far, he is scoring 13.7 points per contest through nine games.
