Jalen Gibson Jalen Gibson 6'1" | CG St Joseph's | 2022 State SC – St Joseph’s Catholic (Greenville) (pictured on front)
Gibson was a new name to monitor here in the Palmetto State. Gibson was able to get the ball into the paint on a regular basis today for the Knights. Gibson used a cross-over dribble move to drop a few floaters in the lane. Gibson showed to have a nice mid-range pull-up jumper he was able today. Gibson felt most comfortable attacking the basket and liked to play 15-17 feet in on the floor. Gibson finished with 15 points today in the loss to Travelers Rest HS.
Bobby Taylor Bobby Taylor 5'10" | PG Daniel | 2022 State SC – Daniel HS (Central)
Taylor a left-handed point guard for the Lions really plays the game at a good pace. Taylor sees the floor very well from out top and at times gets a little too fancy with the ball. Taylor can play fast or can slow it down in a half court offense. Taylor isn’t afraid to sacrifice his body while taking a charge or diving on the floor for a loose ball. Taylor is the primary ball-handler finished with 16 points today for the Lions in the loss to Southside HS.
Josh Sapp Josh Sapp 6'4" | SG Greenville | 2022 SC – Greenville HS
Sapp came out on fire for the Red Raiders here today. Sapp a football player in the fall was able to bully defenders at times to the basket. Sapp a thick framed guard plays aggressive on both ends of the floor and rebounds the ball well from his position. Sapp was able to connect from all 3 levels on the floor today. Sapp knocked down a few three pointers while hitting a few pull-up jumpers.
Prometheus Franklin Prometheus Franklin 6'3" | PG Greenville | 2022 State SC – Greenville HS
Franklin plays Quarterback in the fall for the Red Raiders. Franklin was able to slash to the rack here today along with connecting from downtown behind the arc. Franklin is very good away from the ball and shows to have good body control. Franklin really came alive in the 2nd half vs Aiken to secure the win. Franklin nicknamed “Pro” finished the game with 20 points.
Jackson Duncan Jackson Duncan 6'6" | SF Travelers Rest | 2022 State SC – Travelers Rest HS
Duncan was anew name for Prep Hoops this weekend. Duncan walked away as the Game MVP for the Devildogs with his play. Duncan a big guard-wing finished with 12 points in the St Joseph’s. Duncan a slender-sleek player settled for several shots in the corners. Duncan 6’6 was able to knockdown 3 three pointers today.
Samaad Wright Samaad Wright 6'0" | CG Blythewood | 2022 State SC – Blythewood HS
Wright a combo guard can score the ball when needed for the Bengals. Wright leaked out in transition today for some cheapies along with connecting on some mid-range jumpers. Wright scored 11 points in the win today for the junior dominated Bengals over Mauldin HS.
Caleb Byrd Caleb Byrd 6'1" | PG Mauldin | 2022 State SC – Mauldin HS
Byrd finally looks to be healthy for the Mavericks. Byrd finished with 14 points in a loss today Blythewood HS. Byrd was able to finish on the break at the rim. Byrd hit some open shots on the perimeter today.
