Alex Sherwood Alex Sherwood 6'4" | SF Xavier | 2023 State WI – Xavier – 2023: A sneaky good 2023 player brewing out of Xavier. He’s averaging 19.1 points per game, and at 6’6” he brings serious versatility and skill. He governs the post on both ends, able to create plays with his arms and size or just by sheer activity. He can rebound and finish through contact. Also can step out to shoot the three.
Brady Hupf – Medford – 2021: In the first half against Xavier, Hupf was scoring with ease down low. He was able to back down his opponents, powering through smaller defenders. He continued to utilize his turnaround post move, and likely would have scored more if it weren’t for a few close misses in the first half. Hupf finished with 14 points.
David Joplin David Joplin 6'8" | SF Brookfield | 2021 State #54 Nation WI – Brookfield Central – 2021: Joplin looked college-ready against Oak Creek. The forward is a deadly mid-range shooter and ferocious attacker. His skillset gets deeper every season, and he is clearly ready to travel down to Austin and suit up for the Longhorns.
Colton DeBauch – Waukesha West – 2021: The 6’4” senior leads the conference with 12 rebounds per game. He’s not the most physically gifted prospect, but is a gritty rebounder that plays hard on both ends. He’s also averaging the second-most points on the team. He’s definitely a player to keep an eye on, especially if his numbers stay steady.
Amari McCottry – Saint Thomas More – 2024: The budding freshman continues to make noise. He scored 31 points against South Milwaukee, doing it from the free throw line, beyond the arc, and in the lane. The 2024 class is shaping up to be a loaded group, and McCottry could be a top player throughout his high school career.
Henry Wilkinson – Eau Claire North – 2023: Wilkinson is posting big numbers as a sophomore in a top conference. He’s avering 21.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc. Haven’t watched him play extensively yet, but he’s a must-watch player at some point this season.
