Seth Trimble Seth Trimble 6'3" | PG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #50 Nation WI — 2022 — Menomonee Falls
After his performance on Wednesday against Marquette, I think that Trimble could have a very legit argument for why he should be the top-ranked prospect in Wisconsin’s 2022 class. He scored 31 points in the season opener and proved that his game has reached the next level. The point guard looked stronger, quicker, and more explosive in the first game of his junior season. If Trimble continues to improve at this rate, there is no doubt that he will become a special player at the college level.
Tre Valeriano Tre Valeriano 6'0" | PG Pius XI | 2021 State WI — 2021 — Milwaukee Pius XI Catholic
An early candidate for performance of the year is Valeriano’s 45 point game in a win over New Berlin Eisenhower. The senior point guard has already proven that he is one of the most slept on prospects in the state, and his play on Thursday night proves that college programs need to start giving Valeriano some attention.
John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI — 2023 — DePere
I think that Kinzinger is set to make major waves in the Wisconsin basketball community this season. He tipped off his sophomore season by dropping 32 points for DePere in a big win over Ashwaubenon. The 2023 point guard is a prospect that opposing squads will need to slow down if they want to get the win.
Casey Verhagen Casey Verhagen 6'0" | PG Sheboygan Area Lutheran | 2022 State WI — 2022 — Sheboygan Lutheran
Verhagen could end up developing into the perfect college point guard. The Sheboygan Lutheran prospect is a quick player that always looks to make the right play. He is a terrific passer who is always in search of an open teammate. Through two games, Verhagen is averaging 28 points per game.
Tayshawn Bridges Tayshawn Bridges 6'2" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2024 #86 Nation GA — 2024 — Brookfield East
Wow! I knew Bridges was probably the best prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, but I didn’t expect him to dominate the competition in his debut. In his first game, Bridges dropped 37 points and proved that he belonged. Expect the 2024 point guard to develop into one of the best prospects in the nation.
Tyrese Hunter Tyrese Hunter 5'11" | PG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State #63 Nation WI — 2021 — Racine St. Catherines
Hunter kicked off his senior season with a very impressive performance in a win over East Troy. The point guard tallied 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. I absolutely love the way that Hunter plays. He is an explosive athlete who seems to be getting better by the day. Hunter has the chance to become a really good player for Iowa State.
Demerius Shakur Demerius Shakur 6'2" | CG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI — 2023 — Martin Luther
Shakur is a prospect that college programs need to keep a close eye on. I think that he still has a long way to go in his development, but the Martin Luther point guard has shown great promise. He is a very good game manager who does a terrific job of running the offense for his squad. The point guard scored 22 points in his season debut.
Brian Parzych Brian Parzych 6'2" | PG Wauwautosa East | 2021 State WI — 2021 — Wauwatosa East
Every time that Parzych steps on the court, he is very productive. In Tosa East’s upset win over Sussex Hamilton, Parzych scored 16 points. The Northern Michigan commit is a great slasher and passer who serves as a terrific leader for his team.
Ben Nau Ben Nau 6'1" | PG Brookfield Central | 2021 State WI — 2021 — Brookfield Central
Nau is going to play great defense, take care of the ball-handling responsibilities, and pass to open teammates. He is the perfect point guard for a talented Brookfield Central team. On Tuesday, he scored an efficient 22 points to help lead BC to an opening night win over Germantown.
