One of Georgia’s elite floor generals, the UAH-signee flirted with a triple-double recording 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Smith was able to control the game when needed, often making good things happen when the ball was in his hands. He was able to shift his way to the basket and find open teammates on drop offs and kickouts. The lefty chose his spots offensively. He scored seven quick points to set the tone early and give Denmark a 21-7 lead after one before icing a 58-45 victory. His ability to organize an offense and control the tempo makes him the true head of the snake.
2023 6-3 SG Stefan Davidov – Denmark
It was a statement game for Stefan Davidov as the youngster broke out off the bench to hit five threes and net a game-high 19 points. The svelte guard will need to add weight, but you can tell he has a very good feel for the game and a mature approach offensively. He was a knockdown three-point shooter that used his stroke to his advantage. Once he hit a few, defenses tried to run him off the line where Davidov would make them pay with textbook drives to the hoop and finish off two feet. Stefan’s touch makes him a threat at all three levels. As he fills out into his body, expect Davidov to get better and better.
2021 6-7 F Joseph Scott Joseph Scott 6'7" | PF Denmark | 2021 State GA – Denmark
Joseph Scott Joseph Scott 6'7" | PF Denmark | 2021 State GA scored 12 points and blocked 2 shots. It was his defense on Devin McGlockton Devin McGlockton 6'7" | PF South Forsyth | 2021 State GA which was most impressive. He held the dominant post presence in check and helped neutralize him with his diverse offensive game. Scott stepped out to hit two threes and space the floor for Sutton Smith Sutton Smith 5'11" | PG Denmark | 2021 State GA and others to breakdown the defense and find open teammates. Scott is a valuable combo-forward. I like him more as a stretch-four than a full-time wing. His three-point shot is continuing to improve and if his ball handling does as well, he could make the full-time transition to wing if he chooses.
2021 6-7 F Devin McGlockton Devin McGlockton 6'7" | PF South Forsyth | 2021 State GA – South Forsyth
South Forsyth wasn’t able to get Devin McGlockton Devin McGlockton 6'7" | PF South Forsyth | 2021 State GA as involved in the offense as they would have liked, held to 4 points in the first half as the War Eagles trailed by 20, but in the second half the big fella started to break free. He finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks. McGlockton sank two three-pointers and was efficient inside before getting swarmed by double teams. Devin can space the floor making him a tough cover. He hit from the mid-range and when he sealed his man deep enough, he wasn’t going to be denied. He’s a very well-rounded post that impacts games on both sides of the ball. He looks like a Low-Mid Major prospect and is one of the most under recruited players Georgia has to offer.
2021 6-0 G Brandon Stoudamire – South Forsyth
A freakish athlete that plays above the rim, Brandon Stoudamire is a slasher. He gets all of his offense in the paint, able to rise above defenders to get clear looks at the basket. His fast twitch fibers give him upside as a perimeter defender and also makes him a very good rebounder for his size. Crafting a consistent outside shot will open up his game tenfold. He’s a highlight waiting to happen.
