This was my first time watching Fens play, and I came away impressed with the potential he has. A 6-10 big man, he’s a fluid athlete who runs the floor well and he has good hands. His offensive game is still a work in progress, and on a team with wing scorers like Michael Duax Michael Duax 6'5" | SF Hempstead | 2021 State IA and Jamari Smith Jamari Smith 6'4" | SF Hempstead | 2021 State IA , he won’t be asked to score a ton, but he showed a good looking stroke from the free-throw line, so there is some hope there that he can add a mid-range jumper. He’s a solid rim protector with great size and he’s an above-average athlete, so he could be someone colleges keep on the radar.
Christian Tidiane Christian Tidiane 6'4" | PF Council Bluffs Lincoln | 2021 State IA (Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, 2021)
Tidiane is a super athletic, 6-5 forward who makes up for a lack of traditional size with his explosive leaping ability and length. He showed good footwork and touch on his post touches, and he runs the floor extremely well. He showed some playmaking ability, dishing out 4 assists in the Lynx win over Le Mars, while also putting up 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. He’d make a very solid NAIA player with his athleticism and ability to impact the game on both ends.
Christian Haugstad Christian Haugstad 6'7" | C Aplington-Parkersburg | 2022 State IA (Aplington-Parkersburg, 2022)
Haugstad gets great position on the block, making good contact on his box-outs and high-pointing the ball well when he’s rebounding. He finished with 10 rebounds in the win over South Hardin. He’s got great hands, runs the floor well, and does a good job establishing early position by beating his defender down the floor.
Josh Haan Josh Haan 6'6" | PF Aplington-Parkersburg | 2021 State IA (Aplington-Parkersburg, 2021)
Haan does a great job posting up smaller defenders, and he’s a highly efficient scorer who knows his limitations and doesn’t do anything outside of where he’s comfortable. He had 13 points and 11 rebounds, plus 2 blocks, in their win. Like Haugstad, he runs the floor well and has great hands.
Noah Sandbothe (Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, 2021)
Like his teammate Tidiane, Sandbothe is an explosive, athletic forward who can impact the game on both ends of the floor. He’s capable of stretching the floor but is at his best when he’s cleaning up around the rim or beating his defender down the floor for an easy bucket. He finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He has committed to NAIA program Midland.
