The Class of 2023 rankings have been updated and it’s time to take a look at the top players by position. Here’s a look at the top point guards for this iteration of the rankings.
#2 - Jackson ShelstadJacksonShelstad5'11" | PGWest Linn | 2023State#131NationOR (2023 West Linn)
Shelstad holds a myriad of Division I offers and it’s not hard to see why. The 5-foot-11 and still physically developing point guard is a gifted offensive player with a dangerous jumper and he’s been advancing with his skills as a floor leader on both ends. Shelstead spent the off-season playing some with the Oregon Prospects and should be a candidate for All-State honors.
#5 - Esyah Pippa-White

Pippa-White jumped right into a starting role at Gresham and ended the year as one of the state’s leaders in assists. The 6-foot point guard has packed on some muscle this off-season and continues to grow with his decision making. He holds an early offer from Jackson State.
#6 - Malik BrownMalikBrown5'10" | PGTigard | 2023StateOR (2023 Tigard)
Brown immediately made an impact as a freshman and emerged as Tigard’s starting point guard. The 5-foot-11 sophomore plays with high energy and can really create for himself

#12 -
Sean Chris TresvantSeanChris Tresvant5'8" | PGCentral Catholic | 2023StateOR (2023 Central Catholic)
Tresvant is the lone member of the top five point guards in this class to not have played varsity ball as a freshman, but that was more of a function of Central Catholic’s depth in upperclassmen than the point guard’s ability. The 5-foot-8 point guard is extremely quick and should be a major contributor this year.
#17 -
Jando GonzalezJandoGonzalez5'7" | PGMcNary | 2023StateOR (2023 McNary)
Gonzalez is a classic smaller point guard that plays with a ton of heart. It was baptism by fire for him as a freshman but the 5-foot-7 sophomore is battle-tested and should have a bigger offensive role with the departure of Nate Meithof to California.
