#4 – Kavon Bradford Kavon Bradford 6'2" | CG Benson | 2023 State OR (2023 Benson)
Bradford was arguably the top offensive freshman in the state last season. The 6-foot-2 guard is very athletic getting to the hoop and finishing and has the ability to catch fire from the perimeter. Bradford is also an outstanding rebounder for his size. He was the top draw with Dynasty playing AAU basketball and he’ll be heavily counted on his sophomore season by head coach Earl Clark.
#9 – Bogdan Chobu Bogdan Chobu 5'10" | CG Westview | 2023 State OR (2023 Liberty)
Chobu burst onto the scene as a freshman and immediately became Liberty’s best offensive player, leading the Falcons in scoring. The 5-foot-10 guard can score in a variety of ways, whether it’s hitting from deep or creating off of the dribble, getting to the line where he’s an outstanding free throw shooter. Chobu transferred to Westview for his sophomore season.
#10 – Kalim Brown Kalim Brown 6'0" | CG Tigard | 2023 State OR (2023 Tigard)
Brown was a valuable backup guard in the rotation last year at Tigard. The 5-foot-11 sophomore plays with a high motor on both ends and really gets after it on defense. Offensively he has a nice shot from the outside both from three and on pull-ups and is improving on getting to the basket. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him starting alongside brother Malik this season.
#11 – Sanborne Melson Sanborne Melson 5'10" | CG Jefferson | 2023 State OR (2023 Jefferson)
Melson got some minutes early on last season at Jefferson before a wrist injury abruptly ended his year. The 5-foot-11 combo guard is a bulldog on the defensive end and is improving as an offensive player. His willingness to play hard on every possession should endear himself to Demos head coach Pat Strickland and he’ll get major minutes in 2021.
#14 – Jalen Chiles (2023 Sunset)
Chiles got some time on varsity last season at Sunset but will have a much bigger role in 2021. At 6-foot-3 he’s got good size and athleticism on the perimeter and he’s gotten good playing experience having been in the Seattle Rotary AAU program. The key will be his continued progress playing varsity basketball this year and there’s no doubt new Apollos head coach David Saultz will find a spot for him.
